Project365: 2011 - Day 09
For this week, it's starting to look like I should have called it "scary silhouettes" :) I promise to get some less scary shots in before the week is up though, but I think that this week will definitely be all silhouettes like this.
I shot this in my upstairs hallway. I had one where I was wielding a ball peen hammer but I liked this one better.
I really have been liking the silhouette shots because it's helping force me to experiment with lighting and I think it's been great for my creative process, especially getting different shots in my house and not even stepping outside for shots yet. Being indoors forces you to think because there's only so many places/backdrops you can use.
Do yourself a favor and view on black already :)
oh yeah - lock your doors! :)

Today's Project 365 pic is of something that I never saw in the Batman movies.
It is possible that this is what Alfred drives down to the shops to get groceries for Master Bruce.
Looks like Stately Wayne Manor must have allowed the Monster Truck Mayhem crew borrow it for the weekend for the car crushing extravaganza at the showgrounds this weekend.
Feb 6 - There's just something about Chickadees...they seem so gentle and endearing...I absolutely love their little chirps...
Seen at Mt. Auburn Cemetery
With all the troubles the San Francisco zoo has been having lately, I have to admit that I felt a bit disconcerted when I saw the tail and legs of this guy from out of the corner of my eye.
Today's ... (or I should say tonight's) Project 365 pic is another night shot of Ballarat from a different part of Lake Wendouree.
The Olympic Rings were from the 1956 Melbourne Games, when Ballarat hosted the rowing.
The two bright lights are from the football game at Eureka Stadium
Exposure120
Aperture f/14.0
Focal Length18 mm
ISO Speed100
Day 149 will probably be another night shot, as I have tried a cleaning technique and camera setting to try to get rid of hot pixels (Those scattered red and blue dots you can see on the pic).
I'll need to do some more night time long exposures to test if it worked.
10JUL - This was the most metaphysical rainbow I'd ever experienced.
Maslo and I were talking about big changes, bad times, and that life
will always get better. We turned onto the Burlington bypass and
there it was like a slap in the face.

Today's Project 365 pic is of a golden Buddha head.
It might not be real gold, since the price on the bottom was only $7.99
We walked down to Clement for lunch. You always see interesting things, but this is the first time I have see someone with a pig slung over his shoulder.
A bit of fun at the Vancouver Canuck's fan "party on the plaza" at Roger's Arena a couple of hours prior to the Canucks defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in the 2nd game of their playoff series.

1/25/10. I dropped my husband off at the local airport today and spent a little time watching the planes come and go. I saw this private jet approaching and had just enough time to adjust my camera settings to take this photo as it was landing. I took this one through the chain linked fence and it worked! Fun!
