Spring will have to wait. . .

I had a shot planned for yesterday's 365, which the snow made impossible. . .

post and run wednesday. . .back later

Today's Project 365 pic is of the McDonald Gates in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

The gates with their ionic (That's ionic, not iconic or ironic) pillars were erected in 1921 with funds from the McDonald bequest.

A few years ago ivy covered the walls and I think it made the structure look even better.

This is our kitty Lucky. We adopted her in 2007 and she's been with us ever since. Like Chuy, she goes outside to do her business - we don't ever buy cat litter anymore, straight after eating she stands near the door and meows until we let her out. When she's ready to come back in, she just scratches the screen door... She gets along well with Chuy, but she makes sure he knows she's the boss.

I finished my English essay today. Late last night I found out that my professor extended the due date for my essay to Monday, so I have more time :o)

Happy Friday guys :o) I hope you have an awesome weekend and you fit in a catnap or two somewhere in between :o)

Struggled to come up with something, then after trying a few things. I found this beauty waiting for her portrait to be taken.

Project365: 2011 - Day 09

For this week, it's starting to look like I should have called it "scary silhouettes" :) I promise to get some less scary shots in before the week is up though, but I think that this week will definitely be all silhouettes like this.

I shot this in my upstairs hallway. I had one where I was wielding a ball peen hammer but I liked this one better.

I really have been liking the silhouette shots because it's helping force me to experiment with lighting and I think it's been great for my creative process, especially getting different shots in my house and not even stepping outside for shots yet. Being indoors forces you to think because there's only so many places/backdrops you can use.

Do yourself a favor and view on black already :)

oh yeah - lock your doors! :)

#Project365 2015 ~ #Day17 : Saturday Morning Sunrise #photoaday #365cincinnati #naturescenes #cincygram #rise #nky

Today's Project 365 pic is of something that I never saw in the Batman movies.

It is possible that this is what Alfred drives down to the shops to get groceries for Master Bruce.

Looks like Stately Wayne Manor must have allowed the Monster Truck Mayhem crew borrow it for the weekend for the car crushing extravaganza at the showgrounds this weekend.

Domo watches those that fall asleep on the couch. Seems a bit suspect to me though, I think he's been watching to many vampire movies lately.

I "blued" up the cardboard Keegan brought home from his afterschool club

It was my coworker's birthday today so we ate at On The Border. I've been using my nifty fifty lens a lot more latey and I think I've been getting better iwth it. Here's a portrait of Nazz with natural light from a nearby window.

I just discovered that you can download color profiles in lightroom 2 and O.M.G. does it make a difference. The color is so much truer to life than it was before. Check out Ryan Brenizer's blog for the link and more of his excellent posts. Thanks Ryan!

Some nice winter colour :)

With all the troubles the San Francisco zoo has been having lately, I have to admit that I felt a bit disconcerted when I saw the tail and legs of this guy from out of the corner of my eye.

Escalator Maze. Architecture is so much more extravagant in Asia.

Day 274: I wanted to do another minimalist shot tonight and as i was going through my shots, this particular one jumped out at me. I like how the edge of the medal is the only thing in focus and barely.

I drove from Leicester to the village of Wethernick in East Yorkshire today and crossed the Humber Bridge en route. This was taken from the south shore of the Humber.

Day 62 of Project 365.

Today's Project 365 pic is of a golden Buddha head.

It might not be real gold, since the price on the bottom was only $7.99

We walked down to Clement for lunch. You always see interesting things, but this is the first time I have see someone with a pig slung over his shoulder.

A bit of fun at the Vancouver Canuck's fan "party on the plaza" at Roger's Arena a couple of hours prior to the Canucks defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in the 2nd game of their playoff series.
