I got really sick shortly after taking this photo and ended up missing taking a photo the next two days.

3/22/14 - Today did not go as planned at all. Months ago, I had signed up for a tour of the Fisher building. I was really looking forward to it. After a trip to the doctor this morning (and break out of red spots), I found out that I have chicken pox. I am going to need to get very creative over the next week to get my pictures.
Today's Project 365 pic is of the Victorian Business Centre office. It is also now the home of a regional brach of the Department of Premier & cabinet.
The phot was taken from inside the Titanic Memorial Bandstand.
The building was the former State Savings Bank.

The Ballarat State Bank was established in Ballarat in1858 and the site remained the State Bank's until it closed in 1995. The building is an elegant Renaissance design.

500+ miles later, time to retire to the boot heaven in the sky. Getting ready to head out for a winter hike tomorrow, that is if the weather cooperates...fingers crossed!

This is my first attempt at black-and-white photography with the new camera, which seemed appropriate given the subject.
This is a close-up of a front corner of Hancher Auditorium, which has been the main performing arts venue at the University of Iowa for nearly 40 years. It was designed by Max Abramovitz, who was also the architect of the UN headquarters and Lincoln Center. Hancher is most likely going to be demolished and replaced due to the heavy damage it received during the floods of 2008.
What can I say about Caldo de pollo (Mexican chicken soup)? It really warms you up. It is comfort food. This soup from Jennifer's Taqueria off Latham St. in Mountain View, CA brings life back to a healthy and hearty state. I like eating soups in the winter time, often because it is a time when I get sick. The flavors are simple but somehow I know God's hands are in the preparation of the food. This 365 thing is really challenging. I like it a lot. It makes me think, Ok so what does God want me to see next?

I spent the evening slaving away over this Love Field edit. I just kind of realized that there is a TON of content for this thing, and they want the edit Friday. Eek! During a break Emily and I signed up for Ride for Heroes. Looks like I'm gonna start getting in some shape now!
It's officially cold: I needed a scarf and hat at this morning's Farmer's Market. The use of said accessories prompted me to change out the bedding: time for flannel sheets, the Vellux blanket and good old wool blankets just in case it gets chillier in the night. I love the cold weather and am looking to settling in for the evening.
I really need to attempt making tomorrow's picture during daylight...
They are going for the Clark W. Griswold award. This is the house at night, all lit up. You can't see the animations.
After breaking my old tripod, I picked up a new heavy duty one today. Thought I'd give it a test for tonight's Project 365 pic.
This was the pic I was going to take the other night. It is Craigs Royal Hotel in Lydiard Street.

sunday morning, i'm ridiculously sore after last night's photo session. my neighbor, on the other hand, is out in his garden bright and early. he has the greenest thumb and beautiful morning glories climbing the fence we share. lucky me.

I was in Toms River twice already this week but opted against going to Uncle Dood's two times. There will not be a third! This month's flavors were pear-ginger (delicious), buttered rum (delicious), cotton candy (delicious and pictured here), and orange-cream filled (soooo delicious). Poor Boomer only got to eat about half of her share of the donuts because a certain classic brown and gold sweet-toothed monster helped herself to the lion's share.
The rest of the evening was delightful. There was much stitching and American Ninja Warrio and TNG and fabulous tacos.

Today's Project 365 photo is of my tin windup toy of Homer Simpson.
I love old tin toys and while this is a bit more modern, it is just as cool as the old japanese tin robots.
As you can see, Blinky the 3 eyed fish is included but Simpsons aficianados will know that it was actually Bart who caught Blinky in the episode "Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish"
I was taking sunset photos at the lake tonight when some rowers moved right in front of me.
Even though I didn't have time to change from the 50mm on the Sigma lens, I like the way they fill the foreground.
I don't like fairs much if it comes to noise. I like the cheery colours and such, but I hate the music. It's so loud XD
We have one right in front of our house. And it's soooo noisy until late in the evening, iep.
This was taken from our window. It's a pretty sight, but for the ears it's quite tiring. We have those loud booming sounds all the time, and then the loud sounds and music coming from the fair itself....oi.
It started yesterday and we will have to endure this another week. Tomorrow will be crazy, it's Queens' Day in the Netherlands which means heavy celebrations for a lot of our Dutchies. (Me excluded, lol - I fear I am not a party animal) XD
Oh well, just counting the days.
