Passed my driving test today! I look horrendous but oh well

Afternoon reading.

I hate Dora with a passion, but I respect Alyssa's preferences and tastes, and refuse to override them with my own (within reason, of course). And so despite the grating of my nerves every time I see Dora splashed products, I bought a Dora the Explorer flannel bed sheet set with a matching fleece throw blanket.

My small consolation is that the sheets and the blankets were marked down to $4.98 apiece, so I spent less for an entire bed set than I would have on the Hello Kitty twin sheets Alyssa had originally picked out.

Mar 1 Another night at the pub. There are so many things I like about my pub. The first thing that drew me here was the moorings and the beautiful river view. Now it is the people, but I still love the river :-)

The road I park on at university borders a fairly dense woods. That explains why you get nature photos nearly every Monday.

I don't know why, but I probably have a couple dozen photos of vines climbing trees. Strange compulsion.

no school for tues-wed makes today a friday...right?

lying down also made today's shitty news easier to watch. ugh. the governments. i hate them.

Project365: 2011 - Day 01

Looking UP and FORWARD for 2011!

Used the multi exposure function on the LX3 for this.

One of the new year's resolutions I made is to start writing in this diary again...I have only ever made 2 entries, one from 2003 and the other in 2005!!

Gonna start writing in it tomorrow!

Photo taken on the 8th January 2010 with Lumix LX3.

Today... It´s not about showing off the best photo I got, the best processing I can do, or some creativity..

It´s about letting this lady know how much I Love and Care about her..

Yep, my Girlfriend...

We are separated by two continents and an ocean, she studies in England, I live in Maputo - Mozambique - Africa... We see each other twice every year for the past 4 years.. It´s not easy, but with Love and complicity, we´ll go through everything... This year she finishes her studies and comes back for good, can´t wait for it....

Love, I miss you...

Love you.... :)

Project 3.6.5. Picture 219/365

We took Beckett and Nolan to the park this evening on their new Strider Bikes. They then left their helmets on as they chased each other all over the park with the soccer ball.

THE BEGINNING OF PROJECT 365 - Tag 1

Day' dann am Ende herauskommt.

Day 194: Wanting to be done with my picture early i found something i havent taken a picture of in my apartment and put it in the lightbox. A lightbox makes everything better

Rocks. Simple as that, really.

Today's Project 365 pic is of the main street of Nhill.

I had to go there for work. 6 hrs on the road for 1 and a half hours of work.

Directly behind me was the public toilets, which plays classical music to scare off the local teens and cover the noise of pooping.

Mum is sleeping in my bed tonight :) took the dogs out, but Buster got sick :( that's why mum's in my bed, because Buster was supposed to sleep with us, but he left :(

In 2004 I bought an Olympus E-1 DSLR with two lenses to replace the aged and slow E-20n. I decided to pickup a used one I found on eBay at a fairly inexpensive price. I want to do some comparisons with the E-20n, D300s, and my D500. This should my last camera pick for awhile....unless I get the urge to buy another one! (I still have to get an Olympus E-3, Nikon D200, and Nikon D300 to finish my Wall of Fame)

Aaron must have been following me again. I, too, was in Mendon last night and was on my way home. The sunset was so beautiful I just needed to pull over and shoot it. There was also a beautiful rainbow.

Mesmerising bubble playtime with my little nephew.

2013 - 162/365 - Sieb

right pic to choose.

This is seriously the strangest graffiti I have ever seen. A slice of pizza, really?

Day 100 :D For the occasion, i shot my dad :)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♫ ... Jamie Cullum YOU MUST listen to this album :)

This is my first attempt at black-and-white photography with the new camera, which seemed appropriate given the subject.

This is a close-up of a front corner of Hancher Auditorium, which has been the main performing arts venue at the University of Iowa for nearly 40 years. It was designed by Max Abramovitz, who was also the architect of the UN headquarters and Lincoln Center. Hancher is most likely going to be demolished and replaced due to the heavy damage it received during the floods of 2008.

Y-oh-Y am i still thinking about Uni work when i should be thinking about dinner.

Came out pretty well considering that it was taken more or less in the dark... Taking part in project365 has taught me that the best pictures aren't always the ones you expected to be good.

This is my 60th project365 pic. Been going for just over 2 months now, as part of my new years resolution not to buy or even drool over any more photographic equipment till I have successfully completed a picture a day for 365 days without skipping any days.

It's been a good experience, though keeping it up for the remaining 205 days seems like quite a task! When I started it was in the Christmas holidays, my girlfriend was overseas, and I didn't have much else to spend time on. It was great, and I often spent hours a day behind my camera or in the digital "darkroom". It was great fun, and I loved every moment.

Then my girlfriend came back (not that I am at _all_ unhappy about that, just to clear any possible doubt ;) ), I had to start working again, _and_ I started learning to play the piano (which, bye the by I love immensely); I've started to wonder what I got myself into! I'm not spending nearly as much time on photography, but at least I'm still taking my camera many places it would not otherwise have gone.

In spite of the reduced time investment, I still turn up the odd shot I really like even though as a whole I'm a little dissapointed with my more recent pictures.

Anyhow, it's been good so far, and I'm gonna keep it up. Cheers to all my fellow project 365ians!
