Oops. Got a little problem, here. This is a brand new dress, and I didn't realize it had such a full skirt. Look, could you help me out? The door locked on me. I don't want to have to ruin a brand new dress. Could you get the janitor to unlock the door? What's so funny, anyway? Where are you going? No, don't tell anyone else! I don't want all the men to see me this way! Come on! Help me, somebody, please! This is so humiliating.
A collection of shots from the Old Road between Masboroough Junction and Beighton Junction in an hour this afternoon picking up diverted WCML freights and other engineering trains. I was slightly frustrated arriving nearly two hours later than I had planned which would have coincided with the Coatbridge to Daventry liner and a southbound engineers. The eventual outcome is the Coatbridge was running two hours late coinciding with another southbound engineers.
A disappointing load for GBRF and not too much of a problem for 66309 the 4S57 11:56 Hams Hall GBRF to Mossend Euro terminal heads past the Treeton Loop.
Some of you may remember sweet little Junie Moon. She and my Mishka were part of a group of 95 cats that were rescued from a “breeder turned hoarder” three years ago. Junie Moon was adopted by her foster mom (my fabulous friend Jen) and she is the sweetest “little old lady” kitty ever…she is at least 15 years old and just 4 lbs of pure sunshine and happiness!
Last year, our old vet (the one who routinely misdiagnosed all my cats) had told Jen that Junie has advanced cancer (a large tumor) and due to her old age and fragile health, she had recommended that no surgery or chemo be done, and to just let Junie live out the remaining few months in peace and comfort…so there were lots of tears from all of us who loved this little kitty and we prepared ourselves for the worst…
Well, a year later and with Junie Moon showing no signs of health problems, Jen took her to our new vet (the one we ALL love) and lo and behold, no cancer, no tumor, and Little Grandma Junie is in perfect health :-)
…and that my friends is a perfect reason to celebrate Thankful Thursday :-)
The roller coaster at the seaside near me was carrying out maintenance on its roller coaster. The entire amusement park is surrounded by a tall wall topped with barbed wire. It always looks incongruous to me... I always see it as an amusement prison. This is, of course, one of the roller coaster cars and the grey strip is the roller coaster track...although it looks rather like a pole!
Daisy is understandably sensitive about her hair (or lack thereof...), and doesn't like me taking pictures before she has "wigged up" as it were. Hey, no prob baby....Madame Tina has found a solution. 😘
In fact I think she looks so good like this, that she has my permission to just leave her hair at home the next time we go out. Yeah....like that'll ever happen! 😲
Sadly the PBR release created some problems due to how differently alpha textures are rendered now. This was particularly apparent on the hairbases of many of our styles, so we've been busy correcting this issue on the following listed hairstyles. You can claim free updates for these via the Redelivery at the store:

Uh oh...Executive Ellen can't get to work until she gets her garage door fixed.
This photo is loosely based on our garage door problem from yesterday. I heard a loud, unidentified noise in the morning. We searched the house but didn't find the problem until we were ready to leave in the afternoon. It turns out that the garage door spring had snapped, making it impossible to open the garage door and get our cars out until it had been repaired. You'd be surprised at how expensive it is to replace a garage door spring - yikes! At least no damage was done and our garage door did not fall off like Executive Ellen's did :-)
A big "Thank You" to the repairman who showed up within 20 minutes, on Labor Day, to fix our garage door :-)
A major problem about posting on Flickr is how little constructive feedback is offered to photographers by the viewers. I know from experience that a lot of members are really sensitive to constructive criticism, which sadly limits their potential to develop their skills. Hence the typical comment "Beautiful image", "Outstanding work", "Awesome", etc. on all images, regardless if good or bad, snapshot or masterpiece.
I am indebted to one of my Flickr friends for suggesting I try a different crop on one of the images I previously posted on Flickr. You can see the previous crop below. I think you will agree that the suggested change made for a much more compelling image. Thanks Robert.
Is overtourism a problem? For many locals in cities all around the world it is.
A good read: www.nationalgeographic.com/travel/article/what-is-overtou...
Tully Church is located in Laughanstown, sometimes spelled Lehaunestown or Lehaunstown.
Tomorrow I am travelling to Galway and I decided that I would bring a Sony 28-135 G lens and I am willing to bet that few people are aware of this lens. Anyway, I decided to give it a try this this morning and discovered that my sensor had hundreds of dust spots that showed up as I approached f/22. I decided that it was best to have it professionally cleaned. At 3PM when I collected my camera I decided to get the LUAS to Laughanstown where there is an ancient church and graveyard.
When I returned home I discovered that there had been an autofocus problem and about 50% of the images were unusable. I was really surprised but after much investigation I discovered that the camera was somehow been reset during the sensor cleaning process and it was using version 1.01 of the firmware instead of the version 3.0 [the most recent version is actually 3.01]. This was a serious problem as attempts to upgrade in the past have failed and I had to bring the camera to my local dealer to be upgraded. Some of my lenses will not work correctly with ver 1.01 so I had to try to upgrade at home and much to me surprise the upgrade actually worked.
A few hours ago I tested the lens by taking some photographs on Henrietta Street and have decided that there is actually a problem so I may need to select another lens.
The Doctor goes to Jake's study, accompanied by Martha and Jenna, to inform Jake of a problem that has arisen.
"I'm afraid its true Jenna, the Doctor who is here in residence at BAM HQ is a fraud!"
"But I have been with him Doctor, helped him with adventure's, here at BAM HQ!" injected Jenna.
"I see.., well it must be an exact copy, or maybe a future or past self of me???"
"But he looks just like you Doctor, do you regenerate with the same face??" asked Jenna.
"Only in emergencies, usually my body changes completely..., maybe its the liquid flesh?, no, impossible!, it won't be around for another few thousand years" pondered the Doctor.
hey joey, wait up.
how ya doing', sal?
joey, you been hanging around my girl?
what? no way!
cause, you see, she and I relate in a certain manner, just the two of us, know what I mean?
yeah?
but when a third person gets involved, it messes up the whole thing. it's like, nothing works the same anymore. you follow?
I'm not sure I do.
well let me clarify: if you was involving yourself, it would make me very unhappy, and things might get a little out of whack.
I don't want that.
me neither. so that's why you're leaving town. ain't you?
uh, yeah. definitely.
I thought so. have a good trip.
thanks.
you're welcome.
The sanctuary of Hippolytus at Troizena, directly connected with the mythical love of Phaedra for Hippolytus, lies in an idyllic environment about 170 kilometers away from Athens and in a short distance from Epidaurus. In spite of its significance, it remains unknown to the broad public. The enclosure and buildings of the sanctuary were erected outside the walls of ancient Troizena in the late fourth or early third century BC around an earlier nucleus of worship, which is located in the area of the small shrine of the Geometric period. Although the existence and function of an Asclepieion in the sanctuary is ascertained by relevant inscriptions, it seems that the celebrated Asclepieion of Epidaurus outshone it, therefore it remained rather obscure. The earthquake caused by the eruption of the Methana volcano in the mid-third century BC obviously contributed to the decline of the Troizena Asclepieion: its buildings suffered serious damages and remained in ruins until the Roman age, when they were restored. After the prevalence of Christianity the ancient building material was removed from the original structures and was used for the erection of Christian churches such as Episkopi. It should be noted that the removal and reuse of ancient building material has been continued until the recent decades. Some of the ancient monuments face today certain solidity and static problems due to the inherited weakness of the building material (limestone) and the reactive thrusts of the ground. The archaeological site remains undefined by enclosure, it lacks informational plates in front of the buildings and does not provide the necessary facilities for the few, for the time being, visitors.
Those who visit me from the beginning should remember my picture from Sukhothai.
That one is the same one but enhanced. A long time ago, I posted the picture below to Delete Me Uncensored and it has been almost save but their was some problem summarized below and they were right:
1) Lack of focus
2) Flower should be crisppier
3) The black triangle on the upper left is disturbing.
I could not think of how to improve this picture at that time. But today I was reviewing it and though. Let's try.
And once again they were right. (They saved my picture of a boat already).
The result is indeed much better.
To achieve this result I did the following:
1) sharpening 50% (That's how poorly focused it was)
2) reduce overall tonality with color curve
3) Reduce dark tones a little more
4) No color enhancing such as saturation because this has been done previously
Some days, People in my life just drive me nuts and well guess what, figure your lives out before you come to me to fix your problems and then get mad at me cause I am not a magician. Sorry it sounds harsh, but I can’t take the stress of it anymore. So glad that at the end of the day I have a WONDERFUL husband to have and to hold. God is in Control of MY life. No One else. :) The "walls" have come down.
