Our fearless leader, problem solving in the Amsterdam airport, as we chilled at the "Color Cafe." Its a bad angle, but does Brett look a bit hobbit-ish?

‘The Political Reporter’ is a new media installation by Boone, NC-based artist Mark Nystrom that generates random, but intriguing statements with words found on political websites and in the media. Sources include the Obama and Romney presidential campaigns, the Democratic and Republican parties, bloggers and the news media.
‘The Political Reporter’ animates a cloud of letters and periodically makes statements. These images are screen grabs taken while ‘The Political Reporter’ was running on Election Day and the day after.
Letters from words gathered from conservative sources are colored red and ones from liberal sources are blue. ‘The Political Reporter’s’ vocabulary includes over 70,000 words, but only 300 appear on the screen at any given time. As words are used to make statements, they are replaced by randomly chosen new ones from the list of 70,000.
Again, another problem. How is it possible for employees in the Great Valley Corporate Center to walk anywhere during their lunch hour when there are no crossing signs at every intersection?
The beach photographer would like to thank Bill for seperating from his board *before* the curtain closed here. Much better visibility for us weenies on the beach that way :-)

I love the Kenny Chesney song "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem". Just a fun, summer song. These photos just were perfect to go with that song. Everything is from Gina Miller. You can find full credits in my gallery at myscrapbookart.com

We had a docking problem. The problem turned out to be with the be dock. The anode (+) which was a big burnt on the Roomba did not poke up out of the base. This was because
1) The corrosion on the anode caused an intermittent connection with surges of current causing the plastic supporting the annode to heat and not poke up through the hole. Solution: I scraped away at the plastic to allow it to poke up through the hole in the base.
2) The connection copper doubles as a leaf spring which had become convex. Solution: I made it concave again so that it tends to push the anode upwards through the hole to make contact with the Roomba.
3) The turret of plastic that connects to the plate of the docking station had broken off preventing the spring from working. Solution I removed the screw, attaching the leaf spring to the turret and replaced it with one long enough (about 10mm) to penetrate the plastic of the docking station, into which I made a hole with a heated braddle, screwed the spring and turret to the plastic plate, and reinforced with epoxy.
In a bit more detail.
