I couldn't find a good angle to shoot this little flower. So I put it on the table facing the window. The flower's petals shed a tiny hint of pink on the table cloth. Not bad.
... make such a good combination when flowers are involved.
I was editing this pic in preparation for a class I am about to teach on this very subject. I was asked by Newspace earlier this year to teach a class on macrophotography, and of course I agreed. It has long been one of my goals to incorporate more teaching into what I do with my photography. I love using it as a teaching tool, and helping to show others how to get the most out of their potential and their equipment.
Anyway, I intended to post a flower pic at some point and talk about my upcoming workshop in case any of my contacts out there were interested in attending, but then it filled up before I could say anything. Which is pretty exciting too.
But along those lines, for those interested I will be at the Oregon State Fair in late August as well. I was invited down there to do an exhibit of pinhole photography and I will be doing a series of lectures/presentations on the weekend of the 30th and 31st. The lectures on the 30th will deal with pinhole photography specifically, and those on the 31st will be on the subject of "Why film is not obsolete". Don't worry, this will not be an anti-digital rant, but rather all the things that film excels at, or those things that can only be done with a film camera. I am looking forward to both, though I admit I am a bit, just a tiny bit, nervous/excited for the macro class.
But really, it shouldn't be too much different than what I do everyday on here or at work. ;-) It's is just talking about photography when you get down to it, and I love doing that.
Pink it`s my new obsession
Pink it`s not even a question
Pink on the lips of your lover, cause
Pink is the love you discover
Pink as the bing on your cherry
Pink `cause you are so very
Pink it`s the color of passion
`Cause today it just goes with the fashion
The Water Lilies in the Golf Club water hazard are visible from the road and I've been meaning to take some photos for a while. I finally made it.
