They look like bromeliads.

In HDR. Not sure if it's an improvement, but looks more like a painting or the "cutout" filter in Photoshop.

I don't think these are daisies - but they remind me of diasises, and must be related to them!

I love all kinds of flowers, especially the wild varieties. They are quickly disappearing where we live, as their habitats are used up.

Visit to Belmont Estate, Grenada - I was fasting so while others had lunch, I explored one of the gardens.

We went round to a friends house today. Her dog managed to jump her fence the other day straight into the road :o( So Paul was helping to put up some baton and plastic chicken wire, to give the fence some extra height.

These beautiful pink roses were in a vase on her side, so I had to photograph them.

not sure what these are called...its some sort of succulent...has pretty flowers though.

This is at the end of the parade. The sun was high and bright. Everyone was hot, sweaty, tired, and happy.

Saintpaulia ionantha. My sister gave me 3 pink African violets and 2 purple ones that she propagated by leaf cuttings. The purple ones are still just a clump of leaves.
