I was so excited to find this pink tree on clearance for $5! I don't think I'll be able to wait until next Christmas to decorate it!
May 9th, 2009...6:54pm. I used some zoom and -2 exposure bias.
Every year these trees briefly bloom with glorious dark-pink blossoms. The blossoms then turn light pink in colour, and then fall off. I don't know what kind of trees they are...but they're nice. : )
this was supposed to be a ballet dancer but I went a bit heavy on with the skirt and so now she is just a plain old dancer!
I am thinking of masking off her skin and etching the dress for a matte finish and given the touch of reduction scum on the pink around the waist I think it might be necessary

A beautiful, rare and threatened spider orchid from the weekends trip, it was more vibrant than the last time I saw them, such a joy to see and this time with some good hunting friends!
Had a busy day today. I had a family photoshoot with the cutest almost 6 month old girl this morning and then because my sister in law's sister is in town from Colorado (and she brought me lots of American candy!!!), we took her punting (big tourist thing in these parts) and fun stuff like that. I got lots of pictures, including some smiles from my nephew but I'm pretty tired right now, so you'll have to wait a bit longer to see them. Have this pink daisy instead! :)
I’m not sure what species of Hibiscus this one is. Every year it comes back and has at least 10 blooms.

The beginning of one of my fingerless gloves. I originally started with a black yarn, but it was too thick and I couldn't see my stitches, so I changed to this. I like this color better.
