This Water Lily stood out in a pond filled with lovely lilies of this beautiful shade of pink....this was the only one that had ruffled petals. Whoever adopts this one and gives it a home is very fortunate. Taken at Lily Pons Water Garden. Have a beautiful weekend everyone.
It takes a lot of work to maintain a koi pond. Three days are spent every spring cleaning it out and in the fall it takes a day to put it away for the winter. In-between much work has to be done cleaning the filter everyday and keeping the plants looking good.
But, when I look at this waterlily blossom, it's all worth it. At this time(winter) the leaves and blooms have been trimmed down to the base and the pot is sitting on the bottom of the pond.
To make this image I picked the flower and took it down the basement to my studio and set it in front of a black velvet background.

LOL,, I was at my Brothers house watching a bee buzz around wanting a hot of him mid air, knees bent pressure on the big toes of both feet, the toes with damaged toe knuckles, all of a sudden the pressure was to much and the toe gave way, down I went on my face in the sticky rose bush camera still in my face, in my hand. As I started to pick myself up I saw this rose very close to me and since this giant thing came crashing down through the bees peaceful environment he had left the scene leaving me with the rose,,,,,,and stickers in my arm and left cheek.

I finished this dress this week; i got inspired by a vintage music magazine ‘The Etude’ cover which had the most beautiful ballerina illustration for its front cover and this dress is my take on it

Hand made edible pink carnations decorate an elegant two tier cake.
The bottom is chocolate cake with a chocolate cinnamon buttercream filling and the top is a dense vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling.
This cake was made for my son's friend who is turning 10 and having a masquerade themed party. Her name is Destiny.
Top tier 6 inch is dark chocolate mudcake, bottom tier 8 inch is cherry ripe mudcake both with dark chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. With sugar flowers and a fondant skirt.
Hand made sugarpaste mask. Only things not edible are the feathers, gold ribbon and diamantes. I covered some rice krispie treats with fondant to place the feathers into and support the mask.
Ever seen a pink range rover? Here in hollywood, I spotted this pink range rover off robertson street right across from the ivy restaurant. This must be a celebrity car. I will have to do some research on this one
