Tonight we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie, and on the way out, realized that there was some sort of happnin -- the entire theater lobby had been transformed into a (sort of) high class pink lounge -- we quickly guessed that it was for the release of the Sex and the City movie, made more clear by the girls dressed in cocktail dresses, standing around looking through their purses, or sipping on a drink (yes they serve liquor at that theater). I got a snap of this pink spot light they had sitting near the entrance...
My latest commission was for a set of 4 canvases. 2 the buyer purchased already finished, and she also requested a butterfly and rose.
This is an original acrylic painting on a 5 x 5 x 1.5" box canvas; pink rose on a dark maroon background.
In addition to the blue & white wool sweater I bought at Goodwill for the yarn, I also purchased a 99 cent pink cotton sweater. The sweater was awful, but the yarn was a lovely variegated pink with gold thread. It was a bear to unravel, but it yielded many balls of the pink cotton, which I then crocheted into a box using a pattern from Crochet Today magazine (basically five squares of single crochet, 20 stitches by 20 rows, with three strands of the cotton held together, then sew the squares together). There's enough yarn left after doing the large box for me to make a smaller one to hold scissors and crochet hooks; that's the weekend project.
Every time I post a photo of this flowering tropical plant, I still don't know the name of it and I'm also never sure whether to call it pink or red. Taken in the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo on 30 September 2011.

Indeed, I am doing a new experiment
Most of the this you can see is actually fake. Hair,Eyes, Lips and even Wallpaper. And this girl is not real neither, just based on my photo. A bit similiar like me. I was just testing how much the PS art can replace the natural art.
Still very oriental...with Japanese style...tell me how do you feel about it.

3 tiered wedding cake, chocolate, vanilla and fruit cakes, decorated in white fondant with handmade pink roses in 3 shades, tiny blossoms and silver balls. The cake also had 'fairy sparkle' glitter all over.

Well will you look at that, did you know that the colour pink was named after the flower ‘pink’ or, to give it its proper name, Dianthus plumarius? Every day is a learning day. Rose here used to think they named roses after her. She’s just learned it was the other way round. Her mind is blown...
