over the last number of days, i've seen some amazing "pink" images, here on flickr, that have stopped me dead in my tracks. while outside, shooting something completely different, (will post these at a later date) ~ i looked over at my newly acquired Trader Joe Guara, at sunset light, and saw these pretty li'l flowers staring pinkishly back at me. click ~ click ~ click ~ so, i am paying homage to "pretty in pink" !

Pink Panthermobile - Galpin Motors - Van Nuys, CA
Galpin Motors --- Most of the shots at Galpin were inside a building with dark ceilings and floors and frankly, not much light. I found myself shooting at ISO 800 and with pretty slow shutter speeds and I'm afraid my normal picture quality isn't here with this shoot. Apparently I must have had the Vibration Reduction turned off. Sorry about that but the cars are interesting and fun.
This photo was taken in the late morning on December 12th of 2013.
One of the place where I usually go to take some flower shot during my work time. Not very many different variety, so that I have to keep trying to come up with different idea to avoid doing the same thing twice. So far, I am quite proud of myself as there is not much repetition yet.
I had taken the same flower shot before, but it was the fully blossom. Not like this one which is only the flower bud.
I really love this pink color which is a perfect match with the green leaves color. It is also fun to view the flower in this stage which is pretty different than when it is fully blossom.

One more vibrant pink entry for the Weekly Color Challenge Group. These were the brightest pink roses I've ever seen-- they just glowed! :)
Unfortunately, the rose wasn't
labeled, and I couldn't find it's name....
Another bit of pinkness for another very cold day in February. It's getting closer to Valentines day. So I guess the colors will get richer with each day :)

I used A4 thin card and clothes pegs, it was easy to do, and I quite like the result. Next time I'd try it with bigger paper.
When my daughter first started staying at her dad's house on a regular basis, we often verbalized the sending of affection by saying we were sending "pink light" to each other. She may even have learned it from her long-time Montessori guide.
Anyway, I send all the mothers Pink Light... as well as anybody else who'd like a little extra TLC.
A Camellia from my Garden, with a texture added. Just in case you havent noticed Flickr have changed the sign out page and my bee image isnt there anymore. I can't complain, it was there for around 4 years which is wonderful. Congrats to the photographers that had their images selected.
I haven't been visiting Flickr much lately but have decided that I will post at least once a week otherwise all my images end up neglected on my hard drive.
Too bad the boobiethon is over, i just found out about it yesterday evening. At least i can contribute to this pool, and i hope i will do it for 2 more days.
Plus, after all those head shots, here's a headless one :D
