Well... I still have to wait for 4 weeks for my dSLR to arrive... Instead of waiting doing nothing, I decided to start a new project... I call it "4 Weeks", I'll be posting a photo every day (well I have 5 days on call this month, so don't expect me to post anything these days :P) for these 4 weeks... These photos will be in B&W and SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera, I'll be only using Flickr Uploader resize)... I believe it's hard, but it will help me improve my skills... Any comment will be welcome :)

This is a personal project to redesign the Evernote desktop application.

Todd and Merlin are two small crows who were inspired by the crows in my previous community project. Before I started my project, I recycled them into black-and-white baby books to aid with brain development. As a result, renew works nicely. Hopefully, for this new endeavour, I will be able to repurpose them into other publications as well.

Mia is a four-year-old “micro” rugby player with Regina Mini Rugby. She is planning on becoming a police officer when she grows up! And was a little surprised when an actual police officer showed up who was also a rugby player. Photo by Heidi Atter.

Personal Project

Taken as part of a personal project to add to my portfolio.

For these images I used a 55-250mm lens, to achieve the darker and more cinematic look to this set of images. I put the aperture on f/4.0 and changed the shutter speed to 1/40. I then used iphoto to edit the contrast and brightness to create a consistent look between the images. All styling by me. I made a conscious decision to take some images where the subject was out of focus to allow the location to create a mood whilst some detail of the clothing remained visible although blurred.
