My personal project is the first thing I did in graphic design A level. I produced a logo which can be traced back to thin pieces of cardboard I had created which actually outline a picture of myself in a pose. After creating many different 3D blocks from my images and cardboard I picked the outline of the most interesting ones and joined them together to make my logo; to make it even more personal I added a handmade touch of sketching to the final outcome.
In pages 11 and 12 I developed the corset concept by experimenting with different ways to involve bat wings to the design. On page 12 I designed a final wing shaped corset that would include embellishment to replicate membrane of bat wings.

Fall 2011 Couture
Givenchy's fall collection is all about purity, lightness and fragility. Each gown is heavily detailed and painstakingly embroidered with pearls and hand curled feathers to create the emphasis of fur. The general shape of each garment remains the same with adjustments to necklines, details including sleeves and back detail to the garment.
My personal project looked at ice cube bags and the way behaved. I experimented with materials to recreate this in a series of ways.
I think these have worked out better than I expected, I like how you can still see the backgrounds just as strong as the black fine liner on the acetate. I think if I could improve on it, I would use a different colour fine liner, a colour which matches the colour scheme more and I would add a wider variety of greens and browns in the background.
This photograph was a personal project as I was on a family holiday in Sands End, Scotland. The reason I love this photograph is because I didn’t have a tripod whilst taking it, so I had to carefully balance the camera on my knees and I was pleased that I managed to get this photo without it being affected by camera shake. No photographer influenced this photograph, as I just wanted to try taking nightscapes and it was a result of experimenting. I like the composition of this picture as the cloud formations almost mirror the shape of the river and the reflecting lights on the water make it almost romantic.

This a sketch of the view from the garden space which is situated in the middle of the apartment block. A garden landscape has be environmentally friendly, inviting for the residents to visit and encourage socialising between the various residents around the apartment block and create a sense of community.
I decided to apply wooden decking as part of it to make the garden look more aesthetically pleasing plus improve the comfortability of the residents walking along the pathway.
For the main block which is situated on the two sides of the garden space the cubic blocks along the side are based on the Brutalism movement . This is shown by its basic structure.
The hallway and the main entrances of the apartment blocks are slotted in-between two the side blocks. I attended a lecture about Y-Cube Architecture, who produce social housing in cost-sufficient way by produce parts of exterior to easily slot in together to form a structure. They should also be inviting and attractive so I created a cubic structure inspired by architect Van Der Rohe’s cubic designs with blue strips on the style to add to the modernism style.
