Todays little batch are offshoots from a personal project that I've chosen not to go with. So instead I chose to use and abuse them and slap about with the effects tools again. I think I'm beginning to get there- just want to try settling on a style I like though! :3
Yesterday I received my copy of Maxwell Carraher's labor of love documenting the work of his grandfathers Jerry Carraher and Clyde Sandborn. An incredible oversized first publication and collection of vintage photographs. A classic work documenting, as the title suggests, women, neon and American ruin. I love seeing personal projects like this in printed form.

I started a personal project to document my everyday life with my little man. I am calling it "Me and Mine". Here is my January image. Winter is Beautiful!
For this project, i photographed my real sister who as a teenager visited me in London for the first time for two months. The project is special to me because not only did she go back home with a newfound love for London but in some ways i felt she became a much more confident version of herself. For me, as a photographer, it was incredible to be a silent witness to this gradual change albeit for a short while.
This is how today i shot my home furniture while the quarantine. I like a lot to play with natural light from the windows. Hope you like it.
Just a simple snap taken at Dungeness Kent UK of some rope etc that's amongst all the other things scattered about the beach that have just been left behind. I've deliberately gone for a higher contrast gritty presentation for this snap to bring out some of the textures.
I'm also working on a personal project called Things Left Behind and this will be one of the shots included.

This week's theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is "It's A-Peeling to Me." From this week's instructions:
"Peel" is a verb and a noun. As a verb, it is defined as removing the outer covering or skin of a fruit, vegetable or shrimp. It may also refer to removing wallpaper, paper (as in a label) or paint from the surface it is adhered to in strips or pieces. As a noun "peel" is the outer covering (skin or rind) of a fruit or vegetable. Of course there are other sorts of things relating to "peel" or "peeling" you may choose to illustrate.
Shedding My Shell
I decided to play with hard-boiled eggs for this challenge because eggs are wonderful photography subjects in which to practice using dramatic lighting skills, and an egg shell is a wonderful metaphor for my personal growth. I see my shell through negative and critical eyes. I'm actively working on breaking down my shell that keeps me "safe" but really just keeps me lonely. In order to grow, I need to break.
Resolved outcome based on my historical seaside hometown of Lyme Regis and experiences of my identity growing up and living there.

This is a personal project I've been working on since probably April. I've been trying to get a bunch of things to line up on this shot. I have shot this scene probably 6 times, and haven't nailed it yet. But have gotten a few nice shots. Close, but not my goal.
Tide too low, focal length not right, water not smooth, ferry not sharp from rough water. The list goes on and on. I don't know if I will ever nail it, but I will continue to try.

The Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon is His Majesty the King Personal Project for eliminating opium growing. Established in 1979, the Station servers as a research centre for a wide variety of the highland fisheries, in order to develop the livelihood of the hill tribe farmers. It also serves as a centre to disseminate knowledge and new innovation derived from the research of the sustainable highland farming to other regions.
Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon located on National Park DoiInthanon in AmpherJomthong, Chaiangmai Province. And average point above sea level is 1,200 meters. The agricultural research area in the station over 513 rai and there are 8 villages that the Station take responsible and these villages are hill tribe of Hmong and Karen.

Both members of Tavistock Lions collecting food and hygiene stock donations from Tesco customers today.
Jeff on the left here will be driving the collection to Ukraine in three weeks time, having undertaken this journey several times since Russia and Belarus invaded Ukraine.
Having gathered and donated appropriately, I asked for a photograph to use in my 100 strangers in Tavistock, where I approach, ask and post images of people in Tavistock for my personal project.
