Constructive and destructive comments are always welcome! Don't be shy and say something about the picture :) feedback is always useful.
I have recently acquired a Pentax Q7 along with two lenses. The 02 and 06. At the time that the Q series came out it was the smallest mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.
Since the Q7 and the lenses are so small, they have become a constant companion as I travel around town. Thus the idea of the Q7 project has started.
One of the first images from the Q7 project.
This is how today i shot my home furniture while the quarantine. I like a lot to play with natural light from the windows. Hope you like it.
As some of you know, I'm a member of the non-profit society, The Barbados Photographic Society. Part of our activities for members includes having field trips for members to go around the island exploring. . I decided to attend the trip to PEG Farms which is a working biodynamic farm and nature reserve located in the parish of Saint Joseph (the north eastern part of the island). And since that trip, I've been back a number of times. (They know us by name and instagram page now).
Exercise and fresh air are always restorative for body, mind, spirit and the creative eye. And if you have friends who are natural comedians, the time passes even better. And the best thing about going to the farm? Well, your $25 entrance fee is redeemable in fresh organic produce. Farm to table indeed. Check out their operation here: www.pegbarbados.com/
Nothing like starting a journey or a new path. I've looked at this image recently and wondered if I should post this one. I thought, it's a rough patch of the farm, with not many animals in this area. It's quiet really. Nothing special. Just a somewhat overgrown path. But it leads to some of the wonderful views that you saw before. Maybe that's life really. Rough patches interspersed with beautiful places. The unfamiliar, unknown and sometimes scary.....and places filled with familiar, comfortable, loving moments. What a ride. I should stop doubting myself sometimes.
To all of you, I hope you have an amazing weekend, wherever you are!

Resolved outcome based on my historical seaside hometown of Lyme Regis and experiences of my identity growing up and living there.
Better get back into my Flickr Box - so here we go...
This is a personal project I've been working on since probably April. I've been trying to get a bunch of things to line up on this shot. I have shot this scene probably 6 times, and haven't nailed it yet. But have gotten a few nice shots. Close, but not my goal.
Tide too low, focal length not right, water not smooth, ferry not sharp from rough water. The list goes on and on. I don't know if I will ever nail it, but I will continue to try.
I've missed a trick here. Should've rendered the skeleton with its mouth open and head back so Sarah-Jane could be shooting it straight through the head. Ah well, next time.
It's been a while since I uploaded any personal project work. The troublesome business of earning a living has gotten in the way. Still... I have been working with some great new software including Poser Pro (hence the skeleton foe for my model Sarah-Jane) and Daz 3D.
This is based on a previous image which I'd always wished had a second character for some interaction. Well, here's some supernatural hi-jinks to be getting on with.
Hope to bring you more examples using real world imagery and computer-generated elements soon.
My model Sarah-Jane is shot against a neutral grey background and composited into the scene.
All backgrounds are themselves composites of various elements to create a 'hopefully' dramatic theatrical quality.
Strobist:
x1 Einstein640 boomed high just off centre right. x1 AlienBees AB800 camera left and x1 AlienBees AB1600 camera right to provide kicker light.
Thanks to Deviantart for the background example.

It also serves as a centre to disseminate knowledge and new innovation derived from the research of the sustainable highland farming to other regions.
Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon located on National Park DoiInthanon in AmpherJomthong, Chaiangmai Province. And average point above sea level is 1,200 meters. The agricultural research area in the station over 513 rai and there are 8 villages that the Station take responsible and these villages are hill tribe of Hmong and Karen.
So take a moment and view this image as large as you can… now hold up your thumb and see the true size of these flowers… the full blossom is less than an inch, smaller than your thumb, so this budding bloom is even smaller. Now imagine how tiny this ant is, you can barely see it with your naked eye! The fading sunlight hits the ant and bathes him in warm light, making him appear both basking and busy.
This is how today i shot my home furniture/objects and work's essential during my quarantine. I like a lot to play with natural light from the windows and this is my current setup. Hope you like it.

This photograph is part of a personal project that I have undertaken during Summer/Autumn 2014. The aim of this project has been to experience a style of photography commonly known as 'Street Photography' or not so commonly known as 'Life Reportage'.
The Savanna Master is a Masterpiece by the legendary engineer Enrico Ferrarini, and a personal project of Damià Mateu, chairman of Hispano-Suiza. Mateu envisioned the car during a journey to the dangerous, unexplored wildlands of Africa. Tales say that in the deepest, most unknow regions of the savanna, he had a vision of a mighty, red haired lion.
How Mateu convinced the elusive, surly Italian genius remains a mystery. Exorbitant quantities of Money? Wondrous artifacts from Africa? Who knows...?
