This was part of my personal project. I tried to explore a more old style of photography, like Polaroid and Lomography, both of which had very imperfect results. In this shoot I tried to incorporate those imperfections subtly in colours and tones.
I tried to capture a vintage look, which seemed to worked well with the old style print on the t shirt. I shot this in my college's photography studio. I edited it to bring out some unusual colour tones that would be present in old Polaroid cameras and old colour film. I tried to give the whites a hint of yellow, to make a creamy white. I also gave the blacks a hint of red.
Part of a personal project to create a book cover every week for a year . This is week 49 of 52 .

June-------2005
In this personal project I’ve applied the results from the research about the Golden Section, to determine sizes and compositions… and gave special attention to the surfaces, to balance its textures in terms of rough/smooth, shine/mate areas as also in terms of light/dark tones in colour.
In conceptual terms, I feel tempted to describe/ define my work as a sequence/ development of the naturalism, something like the missing branch between that movement and landArt movement, or like a place in crossing roads: the abstractionism (that breakes with the concept of figurative art) and landart (that breakes with the concept of wall-hanging painting or museum-art).
Using natural elements, and side by side its representation by painting/printing, to express my concern about representation and Reality… and choosing simple leaves to better illustrate my point, that is to understand what happens to that leave as to my painting… my work could have a short life, but every Spring everything in nature is renewed…and that is the symbolism of the spiral, which science actually confirms , just by observing the shapes of snails and shells, the growth pattern of a tree, our AND structure to the shape of galaxies.
It seems to me that happens similarly on Art and to understand what could remains or become new I think the right question is: WHY we represent things or why we still doing art, since the cavemen carving symbols in stones to the most modern image computer programs ? and I believe that is the same old motivation…
It seems to me as Henry Miller wrote before: “to paint is to love again”…so, we represent things because we love them, because they seem to us so special, so important, so beautiful or so precious and at the same time, so ephemeral, perishable and mortal, that we wish to preserve/represent them for ever…and doing that we really do sacralize them, they become so sacred for us in the same sense that all nature was sacred in the ancient Celtic culture…just with a difference now : our own personal perspective /point of view, derived from our new, unrepeatable, UNIQUE experience of life.
I celebrate on painting my love for nature …and choosing simple things as leaves, pebbles or feathers, exactly to express that point, that the most simple thing in nature is so beautiful and complex, so loveable and sacred as anything else .
In certain way I could say Art is my concept of religion, in which SACRED is what we love, and Art like the ceremony/the ritual where we sacralize and share the things we love.
There was a time when Art it seems to be commanded by the political and religious hierarchies but times changed… so we could now create and celebrate our own religion, making sacred what we love, which could be not exactly the same we’ve been told all over the centuries and became actually meaningless…
Being my work about the relationship between Art and Life, with that open frame I intend to express the idea that should have no frontiers between , they must interact one over another most as possible… so, the frame doesn’t separate , doesn’t isolate them, but leaves like an open door so we could bring Nature to Art and Art to our quotidian life …
Because Art it’s not a simple question of making beautiful things but rather to reveal/produce beautiful beings; then, the poems, the books, paintings, dresses, buildings, will happen as natural consequences/reflections of what we live and love…so, much more important and interesting than to paint beautiful pictures or to write wonderful poems, better than read a book is to live it first and write it later, better to watch a great movie should be facing our quotidian life in a creative way and planing it as an wonderful movie or a complex, magnificent piece of art, in wich we celebrate and share our love for Life, Nature, Freedom, Beauty, Harmony…

I’m starting a new project. It’s for me. It’s to get inspired. To take more photos for myself. I don’t have a fancy title. I’m not going to force myself to take a photo every day. I just want to find beauty in the small things. Things in my life that are beautiful to me. So here’s the first one. This was taken at Glen Eyrie this morning.
A quick preview of a shoot that is will be the first of a series for a personal project of mine involving tattooed models. Full details will be announced on my website and facebook page soon. For now enjoy these images of the lovely Jane Kisnica.

I recently did this personal project which is called "Fallen Places". I shot a series of images on this abandoned house and I also added some human element into it. I really like places which are pretty distant and abandoned and ruptured.
A Personal Project
At the start of this semester i got given a grid square in Stoke-On-Trent in which i could do a project on what ever i wanted, i could also change my mind, the square i had in the end was very empty just being green field, images can be seen at (on.fb.me/15muAVO),
I did enquire about changing my grid square to this one my house mate found this location on a walk and said it was very beautiful and interesting, i really wanted to take images of the location due to my heritage of my Nan and grandad AKA Pap were brought up on the boats and worked to supplying coal to factories and mainly because Pap recently passed away a couple of weeks before.
At the end of the semester i went to the location because i really wanted to take the images due to my feeling to the area, i told my nan about yeah i was taking images in stoke of the canal lovely place explained it and she told me a couple of storys about cruising up the potteries. A couple of weeks later when i go to see my nan she gets out some photos, which i normally look at when i go around to see if theres any more added or anything, she pulls out the photos which i looked at not just a week before and goes
"Is this where your on about'" See picture - (www.dropbox.com/s/x0mc5z7u5dcyjnt/img145.jpg)
I look in the background of the photo and was astonished just a week before i was at the same location.
It's brought a more close and an emotional feel to these pictures when I've been recently editing them.

In the beginning of fall, I look back the footprints of last summer days.
As passing the unaware pieces of lifetime,
I wanted to describe the various faces of shiny summer days.
I’m going to let you know my precious summer stories
with an simple greeting “Hello, Summer”
.
This story starts with the greenhorn’s cutting for making
summer companion the typo window.
Memory of stepping the grass on genial summer days,
Sky was too clear that even makes hot weather shameful,
Fever of concert hall and insomnia of sweltering night,
Fully baked asphalt road, a piece of memory with summer bitch...
Then my dear friends who were writing memories with me.
Various typography works show each episode as being harmony with
my memories in summer days.We can see the mood and memory of
each summer days through the respective typo window.
As making typo window, I studied the principle and shape of fonts
and as taking pictures I felt flow of summer days.
Adorable times as greeting to summer
As stepping back to my memory, I yearned to last summer days.
Actually I don’t like summer much, but with this experience,
I could spend great summertime.
My own way to overcome the hot summer
"Hello summer" :-)
