Well we went with the flow and ended up at Cotswold Wildlife Park. This is our second visit and I can highly recommend it if you are anywhere near there.
I have been out most of the day and evening and came home to the news that my brother has had two falls today at his unit requiring the ambulance to attend. The first call he said he was okay so he was settled and the ambulance left. His neighbour found him unconscious at 6 p.m. and called the ambulance again, when he was taken to hospital. He only came home from hospital last Friday after breaking his leg 7 or 8 weeks ago and this is the fourth fall since then. It is such a worry as I am over 8 hours drive away and my younger brother 6 hours away. He really should go into full time care, but is refusing to do so.
The next time he came up from below the table, he hit his nose .. game was then over.

These trees were peeking through the low level cloud on a mountain side in Austria after a particularly violent storm.
I found this amazing nesting area in Vacaville...quite by accident as I was exploring the farming area. Even tho there were hundreds of egrets, snowy, cattle and great with a few night herons...this one proved to be a challenge as the wind kept blowing the branches and I had to wait until the right moment to catch it 'peeking out' of it's eucalyptus cover!

Maroon Bells is are peeks in the center of all that green - snow feeds this lake which there's a path that goes up - we walked part of above the lake.

This was an amazing experience! I was skiing on the Karwendel mountain near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and it was late in the evening. I made this image using a specialized Blue-n-Gold circular polarizing filter... I wish I hadn't! But it was a new piece of gear and I didn't know any better. I didn't need anything to amplify or alter the color scene. It was just that beautiful. I tried to minimize the effects of that filter in camera raw with a white balance adjustment and a hue adjustment... nothing major. I'm pretty happy with this edit and the serene and simple composition.
A peek at this little mushroom through the fence. We came across this on the Big Pines Trail in Algonquin Park... protecting an old logging operation and a huge felled white pine.
She looks so innocent doesn't she, that's why they chose her, Jane Blonde, that's Miss Jane Blonde to you. She's going to rock your world with her little girl attitude, but this is 2033 and she's really not as young as she looks ansd quite experienced too. Just beware because what one imagines can come true - just look at the world today. And if you see her with a lollypop, just say "Hey!"
One of my 4 grandcats, peeking through the window, wondering why we are outside! November 27, 2015 in Colonie, New York, USA.
When it´s stormy, the cows go inside. Cold and rain doesn´t seem to bother them much though.
This particular cow lost her mother when she was just a little baby, so we cared for her a bit extra. Guess that´s why she always want to be cuddled and scratched behind her furry ears.

Came across this older one of my niece! It's always fun to get out the camera when I'm babysitting.
