KBSR 704 peeking through the trees after just crossing I-57 in Kankakee, IL. They ran up to Kankakee to do interchange with CN and they are seen here returning back to home base in Iroquois. They brought up 3 tanks for the CN & took 1 tank back with them.
When we leave the front door partially open, Jackie will peek out cautiously. She knows she's not allowed out without an invitation from us. Since we've moved to CA, she's been pretty good, unlike when we lived in CT. It's probably more due to us giving her plenty of exercise than anything else.
Today, she ran into my office around 4pm and squeaked at me...she's never done this before. It was always our late Bonnie who insisted that it was time to do something. Only, Bonnie would quietly come into my office, sit and STARE at me. Amazing how you can feel their presence without having eye contact....
DDC "Peek-a-Boo"
Shyla was quite sick today so we didn't get our usual outdoor photos. But, she did oblige me with one peek from under her paw.
We were peeking through the workshop window!

I posted a few shots from this photoshoot already but its been a busy few weeks and photo opportunities have been scarce. So here is another shot I like of a chipmunk, here he is peeking at me trying to figure out whether or not he should be afraid.
Made Explore 6/13/10 (but not sure where). Thanks so much!
Another variation on our Calla Lilies. I love the crystalline look of the pollen.
See the pollen up close when you view on black large.
Incidentally, the colors of these lilies reminds me of nectarines.

Taken at a tide pool called Children's Pool - located in La Jolla, San Diego, California there are several great places to see harbor seals and sea lions laying on rocks and the beach. The creatures inhabit the tide pools and these special beaches year-round so if you're in the area it's a must see. Although the smell of hundreds of these (and their larger cousins the sea lions) can be overpowering.
This cute seal was pretty playful, almost like a dog, and was doing some peek-a-boo with me and barking. Sad to think they are sharks and certain whales favorite selection of food.
Dominos on a piece of glass. Updated in response to Andrew's question. I used a small bulldog clip to hold the domino at an angle, The clip was hidden behind the other dominos in the row. A bulldog clip is a black springy thing with wire handles. They are normally used to hold a stack of papers together.

A Chinese opera singer peeks out from the back of the performance tent.
Guilin, December 2008.
Note: A lesser man than me would have included a 'Peek-ing Opera' gag but I have succesfully resis...bugger.
The setting sun peeks through the trees and bushes onto Crazy Woman Creek in the Big Horn Mountains of WY.
The creek is originally named "Withko Win" or "Prostitue Creek" by the indians. Changed by interpretation to "Crazy Woman" The Indian tradition for the name's origin is that a long time ago the people of several Indian nations met on the stream peacefully and had a big dance which was prolonged beyond the usual length of time; they became so well acquainted that a great deal of immorality followed before the gathering was broke up.
Another story goes that the creek was named after a demented woman who lived along its banks for many years. It is a well know fact that Indians would not molest a demented person. History tells us of soldiers and scouts who feigned insanity when captured by the Indians in order to save their lives.
