Elephants in the South Luangwa NP, Lion Camp, Zambia

Lots of elephants there are tuskless due to genetic reasons.

In former years elephants have been hunted there and obviously the hunters shot those with impressive tusks, so they were unable to give their genes to the following generations.

Wild living New Forest Pony mare in the long grass

I posted a snap of dawning in the South St. Vrain Canyon in the Rockies and the sky. Boy, from the look of it, it might be a cheery day soon, judging form this dawn! The sun rose over the ridge south of the Middle Fork Canyon. I could not miss this early morning shot! Here is a ponderosa with dwarfage that might not make very good barn or even shack siding for farmer Mac.

I was camping up at this mellow spot in the mountains and the dawning screamed, "Get up and pay attention!" The early morning produced this encompassing image in the past. This tree performed stunts to get into the sun.

I know, I know I recently skidded into Flickr doldrums, as I still hit all sorts of disgusting Win 10 barriers to progress, only two of which I recently enumerated in comments. They'll never build a solid, logical operating system, just another platform of dodges. I manage to choke out one or two but it should pick up now my new Win 10 machine is PhotoShop ready. Comcast crashed me again this entire morning. A curse on MS and Comcast, a couple of the worst in America, next to the POTUS.

a common yellow-throat watching me.

I saw this picture from my came later on my PC that a bug have hidden behind a snowberry.

Had to wait until full moon was on this side of High Rise building to take this shot. I liked the lit window and the twinkling lights of city below. While other shots of the moon gave me more definition, I liked this more atmospheric rendition; sort of romantic and to me all full moons are!

Taken on the way to the top of the dome of Florence's cathedral.

It was the most hard-core climb of all the observations spots I've ever been to - narrow, dark and two-way - all that in about 40 Celsius in the shadow... That window simply provided some oxygen. But it was well worth it!

I found these 2 damselflies shortly after sunset a couple of weeks ago. I think they were getting ready to sleep.

We spotted two Red Hartebeest feeding on the side of the road and stopped for photos when a third popped it's head out to see what we were doing. Taken on the road to Nossob from Twee Rivieren in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

The baby owls like to play peek a boo game. They do it a lot.
