This image was captured late last summer by my spouse who was intending to get a nice picture of a butterfly on a flower while we were visiting Huntsville Botanical Gardens. I just happened to view the image a couple of days ago and noted the photobombing Praying Mantis. (But it is doubtful that this sneaky stalker was simply getting into the picture).

This little cutie led me a merry dance for quite a few minutes. They can move very fast when they want to! I think he was just checking to see if I was still there.

The stoat made full use of the little gaps in the dry stone wall to check out the environment before it ventured near.

These wee ones have no clue that their world is about to turn upside down. While we don't have anything definitive yet, we have many iniquiries. We are optimistic this crew will find homes as pairs. Exciting!
