Here, an Airedale Tours liveried Plaxton Paramount passes through Conwy. It is about to pass through a narrow arch leading to the inside of the walled town.
After growing up with Universal Studios, I was jaded to backlots until I visited Paramount Pictures. This lot is small, but stunning in its detail. The buildings are unique and look real from many angles. The architecture is not specific and quite varied, but those details just slayed me. Even the cracks in the sidewalk were planned by an art director. I stayed far too long, but adored the Paramount Pictures backlot.
My mom, sister, and I saw Wicked at the Paramount. This is the original Paramount sign, which they are replacing with a nearly-identical one that will be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. There is a bit of info about this here.

The mountain and the sky were done in Windows Paint, the lake and the land were found as a picture on Google Images. The stars were done seperate and Chrom keyed into the logo. This took me days to complete this.

The Paramount Theatre in downtown Kankakee, Illinois opened in 1931. In 1988 the theater was purchased by Classic Cinemas and the theater was renovated. In 1990 4 additional theater auditoriums were added to the building, but the addition included art deco elements to match the character of the original theater.
The signals they have keep coming & going! I should've bought that Bob Panich LED signal earlier, but now there's 2 1980s Aldridge 300mm signals.
Older Aldridge 300mm signal from 1985 out of the container.
Both have a few missing/broken parts.

I love the fake cracks in the sidewalk! It's one of the best backlots I've ever seen.
