A shack is weathered to resemble more rustic times at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, California, on Aug. 3, 2015. The film studio ranch has been the set of number of Hollywood Westerns, including "Gunsmoke," "The Virginian" and "Gunfight at the OK Corral." Its town was last updated for "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman."
It has been claimed, not entirely believably that this mountain, Mt. Artesonraju, (from the other side) is the inspiration for the live-action version of the Paramount Pictures logo.

After growing up with Universal Studios, I was jaded to backlots until I visited Paramount Pictures. This lot is small, but stunning in its detail. The buildings are unique and look real from many angles. The architecture is not specific and quite varied, but those details just slayed me. Even the cracks in the sidewalk were planned by an art director. I stayed far too long, but adored the Paramount Pictures backlot.

Times Square is a major commercial intersection in Midtown Manhattan at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets.
Iconified as the "Crossroads of the World", it is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway theatre district, one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections, and a major centre of the world's entertainment industry.

Just after daybreak on Saturday, February 19, 2005, fire trucks rushed into downtown Goldsboro. The historic and beloved Paramount Theatre was on fire.
Almost three years to the day later, on February 15, 2008, the rebuilt Paramount Theatre once again was open in Goldsboro.
And every weekend since then, the theatre continues to be home to numerous different events and performances from ballet to concerts to pageants and much more.
