CSX Q015 with a Kansas City Southern "Belle" enters the northern outskirts of Hagerstown, MD on the former Western Maryland Lurgan Line from the Chambersburg Terminal. The train is just beginning it's journey to Chicago, IL.
I've always loved this shot - I can remember exactly when I took it - my car had broken down in the fall of 2002 and I was walking to the bus stop. I had my first digital camera (a Kodak 3.1 megapixel zoom one - was top of the line at the time and took great photos) and decided to take some shots.
This theatre is a classic and I hope that it's still there. Two theatres beside each other - a coffee shop to the side that makes great coffee - truly a fantastic spot!
I will admit that this is a bit grainy - I was just learning when I saved it to my computer and I've tried to fix that - it's just I like it so much!

I saw the first Star Wars movie at this theatre with my father. It was a big deal then. We had pizza before. People were dressed as wookies in the movie line. I think I was 11 but who knows...
The theatre is abandoned now, there's no more oil, and my Dad is dead.
Jesus... what a sad movie I got to star in.
Safety is paramount at Mardie Industrial. Every floor is equipped with paranormal fire exits. Just follow the signs. Rarely do we lose anyone in the crawl space. When it happens, we make sure they are not lonely or bored, and we talk to them. We like having poltergeists around. At night, we leave out milk. In 1908, we lost a lumberjack team up there but they assure us they are OK. We can hear them singing after midnight. They only know one song, mind you.

Signage on the side of the Paramount Theatre, 102 South Seventh Street, Wyoming, Illinois. This building was constructed in 1881 as a general store, with offices and storeroom on the second floor. The Star Theatre was opened here by 1913, and the second floor had been converted into a cigar factory. Marion Bodwell opened the Paramount Theatre in this building in 1934. Bodwell added the wonderful Art Deco-style neon marquee, as well as an outdoor ticket booth. The theatre sat around 280 and would continue to be a popular feature of Wyoming’s downtown for decades.
The Paramount Theatre closed in 1969, several years after Marion Bodwell handed over the operation of the theatre to his son Tom. Though the family briefly reopened the Paramount Theatre on a limited basis in 1987, it closed once more not long after. In the late-1990’s, the Paramount Theatre was sold to Barry Sprout and reopened, but closed once more in 2000. The theatre was still closed in 2022 when I took this photo.
