I sell these wonderful yarns from Avril Japan in my shop and I use them to wrap presents, in combination with the Italian papers. They make the most beautiful parcel - and I don't use very much of the paper, just a little square, enough to get the feeling.

Solid and isolated form box edges. Final product will be wrapped in plastic and all voids in the box will be filled with foam cubes

I figured it was a good idea to lay everything out and have a look over what's what.

I opted to return back to Ortlieb's panniers, after switching my previous pair out with something lighter - and, well, less waterproof. They're bigger than I need, as I'm really only using about half of each, but they super badass, so why not.

In terms of being lightweight, there are certainly lighter sleeping bags out there, but I suffered periodically across the southern tier with a lightweight 30 degree bag that was anything but - sleeping in the cold sucks.

I haven't weighed the total of everything, but I figure it's somewhere around 40 lbs including the handlebar bag. Say, somewhere between "Full loaded bike touring and Ultra-light bike touring."

Day 126. Our last night in Myrtle Beach. Following dinner, the light was turning perfect and I just had to get in a nice little family photo opp in this area a few steps away from the boardwalk. I could've spent more time shooting here, but we still wanted to play mini golf and had lots of packing up left to do.

I used my spare bedroom to pack. I took the photo partly for my own reference so I could tell at a glance what I'd taken. It will also be helpful if I ever take a long trip again.

sorry if the colors are distracting, i was just having fun with inkscape

My pre ride packing layout. I had one companion so we shared bike tools (which i brought), and he brought the camp stove and first aid. The first aid was a good thing since he got a little banged up as we exited the tunnel. My theory is that the his eyes had adjusted to the light at the end of the tunnel and he didn't notice crowned surface of the tueel and that pulled him into the wall. I patched up his bike while he patched his arm up.

Thought I would tweak this just a bit for fun :)

Great for dioramas and craft projects, but takes up a lot of space.

Men's Packing List For A Trip Around The World - ift.tt/1YCChSQ

Packing for three weeks is hard enough. Packing for three weeks, three different climates *and* a wedding is torture for me. I managed to do it, however, with the help of Waitrose ziploc bags and a lot of cursing.

Getting ready for more winter travel.

I'm moving back to London next week! Ack! Packing is slowly happening, and I found this in the process. I wore this exact outfit to my college graduation (at crazy hippie schools, we don't need no stinkin' cap and gown) and gave a speech.

A packing bed check.

I wanted to keep my entire pack weight to under sixty-pounds. That may seen crazy to most long-term backpackers, but the fact that I need to bring my dSLR and laptop with me easily adds fifteen-pounds to whatever else I wanted to pack.

(See the notes above.)

All of this includes the clothes that I would be wearing on the plane.

Missing from this bed check are:

- Hiking Boots

- Trail Running Shoes

- BlackBerry

- Canon SD900 IS Camera

- Moleskine Journal

- Stuff Sacks I used to organise items within my pack

Stuff pictured above that I ditched when I figured I wouldn't really *need* them:

- Tripod

- Headset and Microphone

The number one rule of traveling is to keep track of those memories so they can last forever! - ift.tt/1RKq7ri

Seen in a doorway while walking through the Meat Packing District in NYC.

I totally underestimated how long this would take. I've finished packing ONE envelope so far. About 99 to go.. I'll be up for a while! ;-P

Stuff that's coming to Montana (and probably some stuff that isn't (and some invisible stuff))

After a photoshoot along one of the corridors of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, I pack up my equipment (which has become such a good friend to me during this trip).

Excluding the camera which was apparently stolen by Sofi, who took this photograph :)

she claims the effect was purely accidental, but it's still cool!

the camera exposed for the outside and blew out the inside, not Photoshopped, all in-camera :)

What I packed for Thailand. Some of the clothes would have been on me. Below all of it is my sarong.

In a few days we'll be living in a new house. The new excites me, but I'm a sentimental man and leaving all these memories is hard for me.

Although it seems to defy the laws of physics, all of this was inside the kayak a minute ago.....half of it through that little hole in the bow. I've been packing my kayak for years, so I know right where everything goes, but this time, I had to leave a few things out to make room for two SLRs and a tripod. Since my Everglades trip will be in the salt water, I also need 5 gallons of fresh water.....what a pain.

Ready for our camping trip. I take it very seriously!
