Even though the race weekend is still a couple of weeks away, it is never too early to get ready. The packing of spares is just the start of what has to be carried for a long trip to Mount Panorama in Bathurst NSW. Still have to find room for camping gear, food and even a little liquid refreshment (gotta keep an eye on the fluid levels!).

A forced perspective shot of the same 1/18th scale model 2009 Holden Commodore V8 Supercar as seen in the previous two posts. This time, it is mounted on the car trailer and being towed by the Kyosho 1/18th scale model 1980 Toyota Landcruiser. Dougie, spare tyres, and assorted accessories are all 1/18th scale and taken with the real backdrop of my village street.
Sorry for the overdose of shots of this Holden Commodore racecar, but Bathurst Big Race weekend is fast approaching and I am getting in the "rev-head" mood early!

Well I think I finally got this right after discovering my cropping tool wasn't working. So maybe 3 times the charm eh?

As we arrived several photographers were packing up and heading home - the light was flat and the clouds an unbroken featureless mass.
Waiting around for a few hours gave the light we were after and warmed me both inwardly and out.
A beautiful night to be alive.
Packing everything up here at home- I'm moving to France next week. What a change, eh?
There will be lots of random travel over the next few months but that's the long and short of it.
So much origami here to be dealt with... the above is one of the boxes full of things to be sent over.
Looking forward to this new chapter in my life! Thanks to all of you whose support and assistance made all of this possible.

NS #4711 spots two tank cars at South Chicago Packing near the historic location of Chicago's Union Stock Yards. A block away from here is the new Vienna Beef factory at the corner of Pershing and Morgan which moved in from the North Side in 2016.
On Christmas break, gonna be doing some videos and taking some pictures so stay tuned for some new stuff.
Tried to make a cigarette box without Lego pieces. I am happy with the design.

Cut through into quarters but only part way through. Pack with sea or Himalayan salt. Table salt is no good die to the anti caking agents added.
This week I'm packing up boxes, suitcases and books full of ideas to carry me through the next few months of travel and changes in my life.

Last year I unpacked a parcel and was surprised to see origami styled environmentally friendly paper packing used as an alternative to polystyrene. Makes for a more interesting photo also I thought!
