We spent much of the last day packing for the trip home - rearranging items in bags, determining dinner and breakfast from the food we'd bought along the way. A snowy, quiet day also gave time for looking out of the window and thinking, though we did go out for a stroll that afternoon - why waste a good chance to wander a bit?

Uthgerd hiding in the paper mess

Part of the pretty and refurbished Hoonah Packing Company in Icey Strait Point in Alaska. Now home to a cannery artifacts/heritage museum, cute gift shops, and a couple of restaurants. There's also a fabulous brew pub, Icey Strait Brewing, just towards the harbour - tasty beers and fabulous views.

Only ten more days until Christmas Day, and Santa has a lot of work to do until then. Hopefully his helpers are getting the cookies baked, shopping and wrapping done, and have stocked their shelves for the Christmas feast. Ipswich Market packing up for the day. I love the chaos of this time, the near danger of the market workers trying to load vans while dodging shoppers. The Cornhill was the site of the market in medieval days, and there must have been similar chaos then. Without the vans, of course.

I'm trying out my xperia z5 phone in the dark. it is supposed to be great, and in truth is not bad.

Heading out to Vegas with Mike, Lucky and Kenzie, dinner reservations at Hell's Kitchen tonight. Good food + Great Company = Amazing time!

It's getting REALLY close and we are trying to get all our stuff together. Mummy says that we have to pack different bags because some go in the bottom of the plane and we can only take a few bits to keep with us for the journey and so we are sorting everything out and it's great and really exciting. We both have new clothes to take with us so we have to remember to pack them in our suitcases but it is a long way so we need stuff to do on the journey in our hand luggage and we don;t know where to start. It's a good job mummy is here to help but she has to do all her own packing yet and she is still very busy.
