West Mersea is a small town and electoral ward in Essex, England. It is the larger (In terms of population) of two settlements on Mersea Island, south of Colchester. The smaller settlement on the island is the village of East Mersea.
Aletta and Denver have decided to leave their apartment in L.A. and move someplace safer to raise little Elin. Taxes and crime are on the rise, the urgency to get out a pressing matter.

I took a walk into the city this afternoon.. first day without rain in just about a week! I came across some really interesting things.. this one of them! I could see he was up to something but had to be fast to catch him.. as soon as I took this he started packing up and left!

I find that having the DSLR means performers snap into poses as soon as I try to snap them. That's fine, but there's more life in the more candid shots, so now I wander up the Mile after work when people are mostly packing up. I liked the contrast of these two costumes against the old stones.
Packing up a bit of food for a local school who has several families in need. Gotta eat to keep that brain learning!

Randomized square packing. This is an idea that I've had in my head for awhile, finally worked out to some extent.
This is a concept that I'd like to revisit, with a little more planning before I start folding. (those rows along the bottom and side? sure, of course I intended that.... :-P)

Saw this right beside my grandmother's (nanee) grave. We were visiting the family graveyard to pray for the departed souls. Dual stories of life and death coexisting on the same plane!
All 4 versions of this have the same basic story. I was having one of those liquid breakfast drinks, but they can be a little bland and of fairly uninspiring color. In the past, not very long past, because I've only been having these breakfast drinks for a few months; I have added Strawberry-Watermelon flavor drops which also have some red coloring. I added some and put the cap back on nice and snug. I shook the breakfast drink up really good and opened it to see if it seemed more red than before. I didn't think I had added quite enough drops; so, I added little bit more, and I forgot to put the lid back on the second time. I shook it very thoroughly, on my blouse, my cell phone, my desktop, and the lower part of my computer monitor. Eegads! What a mess! I decided to try to make art out of it.

A heap of locations, 1541 KMs driving, a late night rainy steep infiltration to a famous urbex haunt and a day mostly spent driving and walking to some wrong coordinates.

This was inspired to a large extent by the ideas being thrown around during the origami Tessellation Design Challenge 2008
13.6.16... The tiny temporary kitchen disappears in a few days while the extension is finished so mum and I did some more packing up this afternoon. We have too many wine glasses!!!!
for Glastonbury! Nina and I leave on Wednesday for 5 days of fun, but i'm really behind on packing and making sure i have everything! i have not owned wellies since i was a kid, but have sorted a pair out now based on the fact that it has not stopped raining in the UK for the last week! i'm sure these won't stay in such a clean state for very long!
