Carrying an RT10 body, RTL 68 was one of several buses hired to LT for driver training use in 1978. Once a regular on the rally field, it is now living in New Zealand.
MBF Show Bishopton 2013. A resin kit of a Leyland PD2/20 with Northern Counties bodywork in Northern colours as an ex Western SMT vehicle.
Seen parked in Portsmouth today, this bus has been in store for the past few years, nice to see it out & about again.
Leyland Titan PD2/East Lancs CHG550C was new in 1965 to Burnley Colne & Nelson JTC as No.250 it was later sold and converted into a burger van
Leyland Roadtrain at Turnhouse in rural Edinburgh. Note Leyland Titan 777 in the shed which was used by the Lothian Bus Consortium as an Edinburgh base.
This is the only model I have started with which is in the bus fleet and hoping to do a few more when I have the models.

On the other side of the Gosport Ferry is Portsmouth and in 1968 one of the City's 1955 Leyland PD2/Metro-Cammell buses, 85 (LRV 977) is standing at the Guildhall. A similar bus is parked behind. An interesting feature of these buses is the half-drop windows; by 1955 sliding vents were becoming the norm.
In the distance is the elevated Southern electric line which goes down to Portsmouth Harbour. How this location has changed over 40 or so years!

JMT built up quite a fleet of RTL's at the end of the fifties, thereby disposing of their legendary collection of pre WW2 Titans that included examples dating back to 1932.
The Cobham Bus Museum have held their rallies at various locations over the years, including Addlestone Co-Op, Cobham Sainsbury's, Longcross and Wisley Airfield. But Apps Court Farm in Walton-on-Thames also hosted the event a few times in the mid nineties.
At that time, this Massey bodied Leyland PD2/37 was a regular at local rallies, but is now based in South Wales.
It was new to Wigan Corporation in 1966.

Another negative discovered today from my largely sub-standard 120 roll film days. I can't remember ever bothering scanning this before, and now, wonder why as I reckon it's just about worth sharing.
The NBC 'Poppy Red' liveried MCW bodied Leyland Titan PD2 VFJ 996 had been acquired by Devon General with the old Exeter Corporation Transport business shortly before this 1977 picture was taken. Unlike the predominantly AEC DG fleet, Exeter Corporation was a Leyland bastion. Although the latter's vehicles could be observed at various locations in the 'General' area, most seemed to stay local to their old haunts.
