This is my first whack at Utata's Iron photographer 204, which requires three elements:
1 - a hood (in reflection)
2 - something on a stick (cheese)
3 - moody color (you be the judge)
Color was enhanced with a grad filter in lightroom, dimming the cheerfully white mug, and the Portra 160VC preset in DXO filmpack.
Optical trick:
Spoon curvature made an inverted reflection from the side opposite the viewer, allowing a photo without the camera in frame. Note the reflection of the mug for an example in frame. Marmalade removed extraneous details from the impromptu mirror.
Trying the live composite mode, which differs substantially from a long exposure or double exposure function. Sadly, it only offers JPG output.

For Utata's Weekend Project: "More Dots" (24th Apr-7th May 2023)
I noticed the sunlight shining through the top of my sneakers, and therein discovered this dotty landscape.
Not as common as snow in these parts...
This was generated with in-camera focus stacking, which yields merely a JPG, followed by BW conversion (DXO filmpack, Topaz Restyle).

Camera Details:
1980-s era QL17-GIII with stuck shutter and stuck timer serviced by Alex Bonarski (rangefindercamera on ebay). Within three weeks he had fully CLAed (including timer cleaning and battery update) , replaced a defective lens element (for which he had spares to sell) and returned the camera with a one year warranty. Highly recommended!

I used the last frame on a roll of film for my first attempt at Utata's Iron Photographer challenge 219. It appears last due to a delay in processing.
Requisite elements:
1 - something ripped or torn (book)
2 - a bottle (green, soda)
3 - one element intruding into the frame (bottle, pen)
As the night wound down
and we reached the bottom of the glass,
The soft beat and quiet tones
accompanied us out the bar's doors.
Low lights filled the night
with their easy neon glow.
The chill evening air swirled
with a light mist as we made our way home.

ある意味,美脚表現, fine art,
写真とは自分自身を撮るものである。比喩ではない。まさに、字義通り、自分の現実の容姿容貌を撮るのである。
ところで、上記の作品は、デジタル特有の加工をしたものである。これを、通常の撮影画像作品と区別するかどうかは、私にとっては興味がない。というのも、被写体が私であり、撮影者も私である。そして、Flickr上にアップしたことも、私の判断と行為である。
私は、画像撮影を職業とするプロではない。
日常しているテニスと同じように、趣味としての美的行為であり、楽しみの一つにすぎないのだ。
私が美しいと判断する作品であり、美しい脚であり、つまりは「美脚画」なのである。
Utata's Iron photographer challenge 312 requests compositions with:
1. something from a hardware store
2. a wall
3. image rotated 90°
"Overcooked" because the processing is taken to a visible extreme that, in several photo guides I've run across, label it as such.
Been loafing far to long on this. What I came up with looked so much like a postage stamp that I added the frame and cancel at BigHugeLabs.
Utata's Iron Photographer challenge 254 asks for compositions with:
1 - a body part
2 - something used in cooking (cooling rack under the bread)
3 - double exposure (in camera double exposure)
The XZ-1's in-camera multiple exposure function requires the second image to be added within one minute of the first or it "forgets".

I was looking for one of my vintage shirts to use as a background and found this instead. For some reason this arrangement came to mind.
The goal for Utata's Iron Photographer challenge 229 is to employ a dish and knives in a "Picassoesque" composition. This is, perhaps, a bit too "Magritte-y".
Thoughts on design
One goal was to make the photo appear flat by eliminating shadows. Images like this on the Farm Journal Country Cookbook seem "Picassofied" in that they have no depth (space is compressed, ambiguous), perspective is not realistic, are obvious collages, and even the faded color seems abstracted from reality. Next design step: add more incongruous perspectives.

The Walker Art Center hosted an exhibition of David Hockney paintings, through which a guard restlessly strolled, here towards the camera. Images were registered/scaled on the moving subject then combined.

Subtractive filter Harris shutter effect (subtractive filter HSE, SFHSE) constructed from three sequential images of traffic on highway 36, during a snow storm.
Details
This modified Harris Shutter Effect image generates colored "ghosts" on a black background. Things that move and other differences between three more-or-less sequential photos are emphasized while static features turn black. Imperfect registration leaves a faint outline of background details. Blowing snow provides 'noise' against dark features like the tree line, making them appear as a collection of streaks on close inspection.

The 3-position aperture on this not-fully-manual camera starts usefully bright when wide (f2.0, 2.8, 8.0) and quickly dims when zoomed (f 4.9, 6.3,18.0). On dark, dull days like this one it is necessary to either be close or think of slowing things down to exploit blur (ISO 100, f 5.6, camera determined 1/30s).
