The London General Omnibus Company or LGOC, was the principal bus operator in London between 1855 and 1933. It was also, for a short period between 1909 and 1912, a motor bus manufacturer.
The London General Omnibus Company was founded in 1855 to amalgamate and regulate the many independent horse-drawn omnibus services then operating in London. Originally an Anglo-French enterprise, also known as the Compagnie Generale des Omnibus de Londres, the LGOC soon became the largest omnibus operator in London. It bought out hundreds of independently-owned buses and established a consistent level of service for its fleet. Within a year, the LGOC controlled 600 of London's 810 omnibuses.
Under its chairman Sir John Pound, in 1902 it looked at an option to purchase a competitor, the Star Omnibus Company, but it was unable to complete negotiations. LGOC began using motor omnibuses in 1902, and the last LGOC horse-drawn bus ran on 25 October 1911. In 1908 the LGOC bought the Road Car Company, the Vanguard Company, and its other main rivals, thereby gaining a virtual monopoly in London.
The merger of these three companies (the Road Car Company was also known as Union Jack owing to its habit of flying the British flag on its vehicles) gave the new and enlarged LGOC the most experienced operating and engineering personnel of any operator - and perhaps manufacturer - in the country at the time. The LGOC then went on to absorb the Great Eastern London Motor Omnibus Company (previously known as London Motor Omnibus Company) in March 1911.
In 1912, after two years of negotiations, the Underground Group, which owned most of the London Underground, bought the LGOC. In time, this allowed increasing co-ordination between LGOC bus and tube services, with integrated fares, such as was seen with the opening of the bus station adjacent to Hammersmith station in April 1914.
In 1933, the LGOC, along with the rest of the Underground Group, became part of the new London Passenger Transport Board. The name London General fell into disuse, and London Transport instead became synonymous with the red London bus.
This large badge (I seem to remember it being about 30cm in vertical and horizontal dimensions) was in a glass case at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

J. M. Trout
Owner and operator of fire sand quarries. Also loam beds. Landisville, Penna.
G. H. Thomas, western sales agt., Latrobe, Penna.
Pluck Print.
David Bachman Landis, who designed and printed this business card, wrote about J. M. (Jacob M.) Trout (1858-1935) and his father, Jacob S. Trout, in "Mineral Deposits and Works of the Hempfields," an artilce that appeared in the Journal of the Lancaster County Historical Society, v. 8, no. 8 (June 3, 1904), p. 247:
" . . . Jacob S. Trout discovered a valuable bed of silica or 'fire' sand, in 1870. Experiments with this sand demonstrated its superior value in the construction of furnaces and the manufacture of steel and iron. Mr. Trout shortly after opened a large trade for his sand, and regularly shipped from Landisville station many carloads of it to the great works of the Pennsylvania Steel Company, at Steelton, and other steel and iron works in Central Pennsylvania. . . . Since the death of Jacob S. Trout, in the year 1893, his son, J. M. Trout (who resides in the village of Landisville at the present time) has taken up the silica sand business and has been shipping thousands of tons to different iron workers, as far West as Chicago, Ill., and East to Massachusetts."

After the acquisition of several small time contractors and the approval from local governments to train and operate in the local areas, the formation of the Private Military group Diamond Creek made headline news as its members soon became an active peace keeping and police force in Western Africa. With prestigious members from multiple nations hailing from around the world, including America, England, Ireland, South Africa, Serbia, France, and Russia, this diverse set of operators have combined their tactical styles and skills into a unique blend of military knowledge unseen before. They employ new and old tactics and use a variety of weapon platforms and uniform styles to their advantage while in the field.

Qantas Airways is the flag carrier of Australia. It is the third oldest airline in the world, after KLM and Avianca, having been founded in November 1920. From 1959, Qantas has been one of the first operator of the Boeing 707s, starting with 13 of the short fuselage series -138/138B specifically built for Qantas followed by 22 of the standard -320 series. The last Boeing 707s was retired in 1979.
VH-XBA (c/n 17696 l/n 29 series -138/138B) was delivered to Qantas in July 1959 as VH-EMA and it served the Australian Airline until November 1969 when it was sold to Pacific Western (CF-PWV later C-FPWV). In October 1978 the plane was sold to TIgerair as N138TA to be operated as corporate/VIP plane. In October 1983 the plane was sold to Airmark Corp as N220AM and in December 1985 ro Community Tr. as N138MJ. In September 1987 the plane was sold to Saudi Government as HZ-123 to be operated by the Saudi Ambassador in the USA. The plane was retired in 2000 and in 2004 Qantas Foundation memorial started to consider to buy it and restore in Qantas color scheme. In July 2006 the plane has bene built and repainted in old Qantas livery to be used in promotional tours. Retired it is now on display since July 2007. The registration is "wrongly" VH-XMA since VH-EMA is in use by a Qantas A.330.
Slide dated December 2006.

I'm not sure whether this was the site of a bus operator, hoarder, or scrapyard; but judging from satellite pictures, there were close to two dozen buses scattered nearby.

Carbon fiber frame prep:
Park Tool AP-1 adhesive primer
Park Tool RC-1 retaining compound
Combining carbon fiber and aluminum components:
Park Tool SAC-2 (Silica Assembly Compound).
Press fit retaining compound RC-1 - for all non-threaded parts.
Adhesive Primer AP-1 - for all carbon fiber parts - MUST be used - dry time approx 30 min, so do it first, then work on the bike, etc
Carbon and alloy assembly compound SAC-2 (NOTE: Assembly compounds hold by using grip aided by small bits of hard silica. This silica may cause minor cosmetic blemishing. Do not use SAC-2 on threaded parts or for bearing lubrication) good for stopping seatpost slip, stem to handlebar slip, etc. with no drying time.
Prior to using TLR-1, AP-1 must be used when the component or fastener contact carbon fiber such as the BB92 bottom bracket or bearings pressed into carbon fiber frames. Failure to do so could result in permanently bonded parts.
