Foden became part of the Pacar conglomerate in 1980 and began building new models, the Foden Alpha was the last made by Foden. It was a cabover engine model powerd by Cummins engines. The truck sold in the UK and New Zealand until July 2006.
The Alpha was a vesatile truck with a thanks to its flexible chassis and wide range of axle configurations had many uses

The northbound track geometry train had the OTHER set of CSX F units on the point! Both sets of Fs by Haley within an hour of each other ... they would have met at Pimento or maybe Sullivan!
