The only time I've ever seen these bridges in the open position. Barton Swing Aqueduct (left) - the only swing aqueduct in the world and Barton Road Swing Bridge (right) - there's quite a few of these but not as a pair. And the control tower sat nicely between the two.
A semi abstract of the open roof of the Swan Centre, Leatherhead, in Surrey.
I know the angles here aren't quite right. I took a bunch of shots and this is the best, I suspect the design has to accommodate some unevenness elsewhere.
Shot with a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
When the butterflies are starting to get more active (and shyer), it's always good to have some extra mm's with you.

This is the office building at Delheim Wine Estate. I don't know what the contraption on the wall is…I thought a corking machine, but I'm not sure.

(PS Edit: Thanks to Johann, Alan and Jorden for identifying the contraption…a drill press/radical bottle opener it is. :-))
Of course, in pre-Covid time, this place used to be packed with customers almost every time I drove by.

Scott had a photo shoot scheduled out of town this morning so early in the day we loaded up the car and ventured out on our journey.
He drove there which gave me the rare opportunity to look out the window and play with my camera; generally I'm the driver so this was a nice break.
I wish the sky had been a little more interesting for this shot, but hey, it works and I like it either way.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

The ruins of Linlithgow Palace are situated in the town of Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, 15 miles (24 km) west of Edinburgh. The palace was one of the principal residences of the monarchs of Scotland in the 15th and 16th centuries. Although maintained after Scotland's monarchs left for England in 1603, the palace was little used, and was burned out in 1746. It is now a visitor attraction in the care of Historic Environment Scotland.
