Ready for a nice song about open landscapes ? : )
Ulf Lundell - Öppna landskap (Open landscape)
English subtitle
I don’t get close to this open beak! He is a rescue and only handled by my husband. He’s not aggressive, just a brat without manners that doesn't know his strength.
For Macro Monday's theme "open". The frame is cropped to less than 3 inches. You'll have to take my word for it since I don't dare hold a ruler up to him...LOL. :-)
Another pano of the imposing Stob Dearg also known as Buachaille Etive Mòr (the great herdsman of Etive) from the A82. The open all year sign is for the Glencoe Mountain Resort, although I would imagine getting there is a challenge at times judging by the snow poles at the side of the road. Such a wonderful part of the world and already looking forward to going back when I'm more mobile.
Our "Lantana Garden" has really started blooming in the past week or so. It started off slowly but almost overnight it started blooming all over the place!
So now, all we need are the butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and all the other little thingies that like Lantana to start showing up. And if they have any questions, the garden is now open for business 24/7 for the next few months.
Guess we better keep our cameras handy because you just never know who's going to show up!

Open Your Eyes - Anima Sound System
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFWKvzuv7Fs
No more running with the blindness
Open your eyes, yeah, open your eyes, oh
No more lying with your kindness
Open your mind, yeah, open my mind, oh
The life we're living is in blackness
So turn on the light, turn on the light, oh
It's time to fly into the vastness
Open the sky, yeah, open the sky , oh
Time to go
to the place that we know where we should be...
Free
Open the sky, oh
Time to go
to the place that we know where we should be...
Free
Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts.

My Christmas Wish for you and me – Day 18:

O Come All Ye Faithful – Nat King Cole:
West Wharf at high tide. Tuxis Island to the left. Faulkner Island Lighthouse small in frame to the right. The great unknown straight ahead.
I happen to like road trips, although I realize not everyone does. They impart to me a unique sense of freedom, and thoughts about what the day may or may not bring feed my curiosity.
I composed this image during a road trip that took me through Idaho and Montana. The day was young. The open road beckoned.
