Open river water in January here is very rare. Our mild temperature swings result in unusual occurrences. Such as Canadian Geese on the open ponds yet, and hibernating animals that aren't . . .
It does create interesting landscapes and sounds not normally heard this time of year. The forecast is for colder weather in February, so we shall see . . .

Pot dispensaries are the norm now. I don't partake, so I've never been inside one. I hear it can be quite the experience, and what's sold inside inside isn't your Woodstock grandma's pot.

This barn has a hint of the open fields in the US (perhaps that's just me)... love slightly elevated view, positioning the barn in the landscape - black and white conversion works well.
time for another battery change, slide the door open and change out the AAA battery. Frame is 9/16 inch square or 14mm.

This Penn Central boxcar started life as a PRR but I patched it for PC. The prototype for this build lasted through Conrail in its PC livery so I thought this would be a great car to model.
I made the boxes for the interior load using brown paper bags.
The car is seen here on a friend's garden railroad for his first open house after completing his lovely mainline.
