Transitioning from recent posts from Alaska to a bit further south. This brown pelican was doing some fishing in Everglades National Park.

Living in the city makes me forget how open Tx can be even around the suburban areas as it waits for more development.

We stayed at a historic hotel in Moss Landing on the Pacific Ocean. Nearby we discovered a nice restaurant where we had a Cuban dinner. The restaurant is open "11 AM till closing" - the waitress told us they close when there are no longer guests. In attitude I can live with.

I took a photo with a 12mm ultra-wide fisheye lens, processed a balanced, a photographic and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves.

Capturing those icm seascapes pictures on a rainy morning at the southwest side of Iceland

first time I've seen two flowers opening together. I repotted this orchid last summer into bigger pot and will get four flowers this year. I use to get six or seven flowers before the repot.
