A Facebook post told us that a Routemaster bus would be visiting Old Coulsdon today, and giving free rides on a short section of the old 190 route that used to serve our village. Imagine our delight when not one RM turned up but two, RM1214 (214CLT) dating from 1962 and RM2213 (CUV213C) from 1965, one of the last batch of standard length RMs. RM1214 was giving the rides, while RM2213 was there in support because, as is well known, London buses don’t like to be alone. Here’s the conductor complete with Gibson ticket machine, and weighed down by innumerable badges!

One of the few bells on Borobudur that were damaged reveals the Buddha statue inside. Ironically the figure is in contemplation even though the dome cover is removed.

I popped down to Tower Bridge on Sunday night to capture some blue hour city scape shots and to my complete excitement, an alarm went off as we were ushered to the end of the bridge so it could open up to let a tall boat (you can see its lights at the bottom of the shot) pass through.
I would have liked to have a shot with more of the boat in but there were loads of people in front of me also trying to get a good shot of it so I had to tilt the camera upwards to cut them out of the frame.
I've only seen it open up once before this so it was a rare treat to have been in the right place at the right time this time around.
There are a few other shots which in my opinion are compositionally better than this one but I need to do some serious cloning out of people's heads first.
The lake re-froze so the only open water was in The Cove where the swans were enjoying an underwater salad.

I love making pictures of this little flowers, they are so beautiful.
This was in the morning, before they completely open up to the sunlight.
When the sun goes down, they close again.
Took this one tonight at Ribersborg open-air bath (Ribersborgs kallbadhus in Swedish) on the Ribersborg beach in Malmö, approximately one kilometre southwest of Turning Torso.
