2023 Photo 109/256: I saw this tiny doe drinking from a hillside spring as I was walking to the Blue Ridge Tunnel that runs under the mountain between Afton and Waynesboro, Va. The doe still had its winter coat and was obviously not a fawn, but she was so small that I wondered how it possibly could have made it through the winter. ©2023 John M. Hudson | jmhudson1.com

Abstract White Building, with one Window open.

Sunset, Valley of the Gods, Utah.

I think I got the expression I was going for.

This is definitly something I need to work on, I never do portraits and this dark portrait was not easy.

This is an IPad Notes digital finger painting I’ve been working on for a few days. This is done by touching the screen with your actual finger and making strokes. There may be slightly different versions coming at some point later. I’m being indecisive. How very Gemini of me. 😄

THANKS FOR YOUR KIND VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES!

From the row boat.

Mirror Lake, NY.

A pretty shell that I found on the beach at St Cyrus. I took a similar shot before, and like last time, an incoming wave took me by surprise :D... my trainers will dry! :D

(Image subjected to a bit of twiddlation :D)

When I was taking this photograph, the song "One" by U2 came to my mind and I thought, how true is the lyrics ... One love, one life ... and how important it is to love those who love you, because .. life is so short ... and there is only one life ...

Happy day to everyone!

Thanks for Stopping :-)

to post at/around 10:56pm on july 20th, 2019-- the 50th anniversary .... btb, the photograph of the footprint is an actual NASA photo.

also this is, hopefully, the inaugural picture of the duck a day postings... can i do a posting every day for a year? Stay tuned to find out.

Just one summer night, one of many, yet special to me :)

Sun rising above tree line in Upstate South Carolina (near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains). This is similar to a previous capture I uploaded but this one is tighter, earlier, and at a slightly different angle.

At this time of year, you have to be satisfied with one good day a week, if that. Yesterday was glorious; the rest of the week is expected to be anything but. Photographed on Forbidden Drive in Philadelphia.

Pier One. Walsh Bay Wharf Precinct.

Hickson Road, Dawes Point.

This is the view looking south along Pier One to the Pier Bar & Cafe. See the eclectic Pier One video:

In the distance are the towers of Barangaroo and the Sydney CBD.

And here is my second favourite chick (after Dua Lipa), Annalise Mahanes, from the cool covers band IMY2, with her version of the Johnny Nash song: 'I Can See Clearly Now'.

The White-tailed Deer took one last look at me before he scampered off into the forest, I noticed on his right hind leg that he had a bit of an injury, it could have been caused by the many brambles he was walking through. I'll keep my eye out for him just to make sure he's alright.

One of the 7000 known moth species in South Africa. That's over 10 times more than butterfly species, counting 'only' 666 according to the people who did the counting!

This is a daytime flying one, while most are active at night..

What can I say, Gio is one happy puppy.....✌️😎

This is the largest Garden spider I've seen this year and it happens to be in my garden! By the looks of the web she has been rather busy catching flies or perhaps there was something larger that got caught and damaged the web when it escaped.

On the way down from Cutthroat Pass this is one last views of the Alpine Larches all lit up as the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is about to drop below the 6000' elevation mark in the North Cascades, Washington State.

I have taken a shot of this tree before yet on another sunset of one of my fave trees..

One of my old time favourites!

In 2010 I belonged to six photographers who were invited to take photo's in the Theatres of Tilburg, during several weeks.

The Theatre celebrated its 50 years anniversary back then. This was one of my photo's at the exhibition that followed. There was also a publication made.

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!

finally found one this autumn. It has been so dry in september en october that until now I did not find one single nicely photographable paddenstoel.

my little airplant, last June, produced a spectacular flower and now, exactly one year on ... sure enough, the plant's a double. I'm not sure what the baby will do ... split off, or just carry on attached to mum.

Time will tell.

continuing the talk of Robert Adams ...

When you begin to think erroneously, you imagine all sorts of things are going to happen to you. You imagine that you'll lose your job, that you'll be bankrupt, you'll get sick, you'll die from disease. You have all kinds of imaginings. This is the only thing that makes you miserable. If you can only learn to look within, if you can only learn to dive deep within yourself and identify with the Self, merge with the Self, I can't begin to tell you the joy you would feel. There is nowhere you have to go. There is no one you really have to meet. There is no thing you have to do. You simply have to be yourself. You are the joy of the world.

Emeraude de Chivor ink: To the fleeting glance the ink appears green. But under varied light and close observation, one finds great nuance with many colors, facets, and flecks of gold present all joining together to make One (word).
