Eventually his bill will grow long enough to cover his tongue.

Been awhile since I posted an image of this massive mountain.

A compressed shot looking NW as the morning light hit this highest peak on the continent.

This impressive mountain was known to the Athabaskan and many other native tribes as Denali (“The High/Tall One”) and to the Russians as Bolshaya Gora (“Great Mountain”). An easy one to name...

"Denali is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level. With a topographic prominence of 20,156 feet (6,144 m) and a topographic isolation of 4,629 miles (7,450 km), Denali is the third most prominent and third most isolated peak on Earth, after Mount Everest and Aconcagua." Happy Friday!

Nothing so delights a mother than to see her offspring grow, she admires the little ones as they stretch and develop

2022 one photo each day

The bigger one made in a new tin I got recently and the smaller one made in my old tin. I'm so pleased I can now make a loaf the size of the ones I used to buy in England.

One of my old time favourites!

In 2010 I belonged to six photographers who were invited to take photo's in the Theatres of Tilburg, during several weeks.

The Theatre celebrated its 50 years anniversary back then. This was one of my photo's at the exhibition that followed. There was also a publication made.

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are always much appreciated!

It was raining heavily that night.

A day later, the heat had already wilted the bloom.

ONE HARBOUR and ONE READNESS moored at Container Terminal Altenwerder Hamburg

Somehow this looked a lot better through the viewfinder than the resulting image...basically I’ve mangled the living hell out of the pixels I captured.

One of the house sparrows enjoying the backyard birdbath.

Who cares if one more light goes out? In the sky of a million stars...

This thing is crazy

Spent the last 3 days in Niagara Falls at my grandsons hockey tournament. Went down one freezing morning for a walk. I was the only brave person and in all my life never ever seen that before.

My take on the Macro Mondays theme 'One Word.' POV in the image is about one and a half inches in diameter of the cookie.

Have a great week! Push "L" to see the large one.

One thousand people are estimated to have died in the Mediterranean Sea during the days of Hurricane Harry. They were desperate, people searching for hope. Their deaths have passed almost unnoticed by the media. We have grown so accustomed to this tragedy that we barely pause to acknowledge it. One thousand lives vanished into the silence of our society.

It is spring. In a forest full of spring snowflakes (leucojum vernum) its hard to choose one. While turning the focus ring this one suddenly pops out.

Gah im so BORED

She and the other, both 3 year olds. I don't know how old the dog is. This is the younger sister to the pink two-dogger. She already knows well how to lean into the turns.
