One of my challenges has been to get an artistic photo of a dove. I like the creatures but they are a challenging photographic subject from an aesthetic perspective!
This is my submission for the theme “Skies” in the group Smile on Saturday. The pilot is a local gentleman in his 80’s who has done stunt flying for years. This was a day in spring when he decided to do one last show before retiring for good. He put on a great show and showed us all how to live life to the fullest as long as you can. He also owned a pub that was beside a dam which was called the Dam Pub. It has moved locations but it is still in business.

When I was taking this photograph, the song "One" by U2 came to my mind and I thought, how true is the lyrics ... One love, one life ... and how important it is to love those who love you, because .. life is so short ... and there is only one life ...

A sculpture by the entrance of the '3rd Tunnel' in the South Korean DMZ. It represents the reunification of South & North Korea.
We went down the tunnel although photography was not permitted. It's a 1.7km walk, first down a steep slope and then with a low roof (helmets provided) to eventually look through windows in concrete barriers into the north. The tunnels were discovered in 1978 and were to enable North Korea to invade The South. Ironically, the hard work of the potential invaders is now a big tourist draw for visitors to the DMZ including a gift shop.
finally found one this autumn. It has been so dry in september en october that until now I did not find one single nicely photographable paddenstoel.
TGIF Right? Another addition to our beautiful skyline is done and it is really looking good! What do you think?
