Another one of my light house shots.
This is the north pier at St Joseph MI on Lake Michigan.
If the light house looks like its leaning slightly its because it is.
For some reason it was erected this way. Although no one I have spoken to seems to know exactly why.
Year before last we had a very hard winter and the ice built up so thick that it damaged the light houses and cat walks on the north pier.
The last yr and half they have been repairing the damage.
They finally finished just a few weeks ago and have been giving tours.
Last weekend I had a look inside while I was over there fishing. I always wondered what they looked like on the inside :)
I saw you holding hands
Standing close to someone else
Now I sit all alone
Wishing all my feelings was gone
One of the many things I love about Hong Kong is how near the hiking trails are - it is usually enough to take the metro and go hiking. Peaks are not particularly high, the one here called Ma On Shan is 702m, but are often steep and climbs start basically at the sea level, so it's fun. This photo is taken from the top of The Hunch Backs - to get there you have to climb a very narrow and steep (660m altitude difference over 2km of hike) trail which is terrific.
It looks best full-screen so please press L and check-it

Sat at the end of London Bridge in the shadow of The Shard, this slightly unusual, but imposing building can easily be overlooked. Personally, I really like it - much more so than some of the other eyesores dotted around London. From the other side (North) of London Bridge it resembles a cube, but up close one corner of the cube is replaced by what can only be described as a huge leg, with the centre of the remainder of the cube open to the sky. The overall impression is rather futuristic with lots of glass and a shiny external finish.

From photography Echuca tour. Victoria Australia . Love line of land and trees . Fog covered land and make misty steam by morning sun lights .Reminds me my country..
. . . I was surprised by a pair of Bald Eagles today at the end of Old Mission Peninsula! Just as the snow was starting to blow in from the north, this male bird stayed put while the female flew away. He wasn't bothered at all by my truck about 40 yards away, or me crawling across the front console to get the shot out of the passenger side window!
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
