So having made-over a half-dozen Queen of Hearts dolls into Number One in Star Trek (2009) continuity, I finally laid hands on a Tango from the FAO Schwartz gift set to be made over into Majel Barrett's Number One from "The Cage".
Because of the scary piercing where she had the rose in her teeth, I had to soak the head in boiling water first, to close up the holes. Luckily, after that I only had to touch up her lipstick slightly. I repainted her eyes, and restyled her hair. She's rebodied on a Mistress of Ceremonies body, but as soon as I can get a Pop Life Steffie for her, I'll probably swap, just so she can wear her ring...
Her fashion is a 9" Playmates Pike's shirt, with a collar I made (badly, I'm afraid) from matching fabric. The trousers come from Mistress of Ceremonies, and the boots come from the 1996 Star Trek giftset.

One of the oldest buildings in the Doomsday Book village of Iden on the Kent and East Sussex border is the village’s ancient All Saints Church. The building was constructed by the Normans in the 12th Century out of locally sourced materials, mostly flint and stones. In layout the church follows traditional lines with a nave, a chapel and a tall tower, on the western end of the church, in which are housed six bells.
This church, originally constructed in the 12th century, has undergone major changes throughout its history - particularly additions in the 15th century when the tower, chancel and north chapel were rebuilt.
Evidence of the change are the remains of the south arcade, now visible on the outside, following removal of the south aisle in the 16th century. Major restoration was performed in the mid 20th century.

Iden in East Sussex sits on a hill overlooking the Marshes of the Rother Levels and stands about 2 miles north of Rye on the B2082.
In 1284 Edmund de Paseley, with the blessing of Edward I, built a castellated house surrounded by a moat. It was to become the home of Alexander Iden the Sheriff of Kent in the 15th century. In 1450 he captured and killed Jack Cade, who led the Kentish Rebellion against Henry VI. Unfortunately all that remains of the 'castle' today is the gateway, but the lines of the moat can still be seen.
All Saints Church can be found up a lane off the main road, it has a castellated bell tower which dates from the 11th Century. It has seen several restoration projects over the years, and unlike most churches has been made smaller, not larger. During the 117 years from 1807 to 1924 the church had only 2 rectors, and for this it gets mentioned in the Guiness Book of Records.

Class 319 dual-voltage electric multiple-unit (EMU) number 319447 (previously 319047) comprised of 77431, 62961, 71866 and 77430 built by BREL York in 1987 or 1988 works 2L65 from Orpington to Kentish Town on 28 October 2014. 319 number 376 (shortly to be moved northwards to work between Liverpool and Manchester for Northern Rail) was built by BREL York in 1990. From the start of the Govia Franchise (14 September 2014) 24% of Govia Thameslink Railway services were delayed between 12 October 2014 and the 8 November 2014. Between 9 November and 6 December 2014 this improved slightly with only 21.3% being delayed but a further 4% were cancelled. Govia attribute this to train failure of old and new rolling stock and infrastructure problems e.g. track circuit failure, while the watchdog London TravelWatch were also concerned about the lack of train drivers e.g. "an issue with the train crewe" across the franchise.

Every October a large number of vintage tractors gather at Castle Field at the little hamlet of Ogmore that is the location of the castle of the same name. With the castle as a convenient backdrop and on a gloriously sunny autumn morning, everything looked very photogenic. Around 35 tractors were assembled and after an hour or so of chatting and the judging completed, the tractors set off on their run around the local villages before returning to Castle Field. This set is a small selection of photographs taken on Sunday 6th October before the tractors departed from the field.
Blue Angels Number Six during an opposing pass with Blue Angels Number Five during the Thursday afternoon practice for Fleet Week 2011. The weather that afternoon gave us a wide variety of background and lighting, from boring grey as in the next shot. To some fabulously dramatic lighting that you can see in a couple of other shots in my Fleet Week 2011 set.

I saw him working as we walked around exploring the Oasis and thought to myself that he would be a wonderful subject to photograph. I watched him throughout the day, but couldn't get up the courage to ask him. As we were packing up the kids and ready to head off I saw him again sitting 50 yards from our car, but just kept packing. Finally, all the kids were packed and we were leaving and I started to get in the car; but then jumped out and just went for it. I asked him if I could photograph him and he immediately softened and started to giggle. Why was I so scared? He was kind, gentle and was very happy to let me take his picture for my 100 strangers project.
This is Misha. Misha works at a local farm and date plantation. He was enjoying a break in the shade. He is number five in my 100 strangers project. (View more at:(100 Strangers Flickr Group page).
This project is very slow going for me because I find it so hard to ask strangers for a photo. Guys like Misha make it easier.

A stone house with a slate roof in two storeys and two bays. The windows in the ground floor are modern, and those in the upper floor are sashes. The doorway has a quoined surround, and above it is an oval inscribed plaque [JG 1744].
A statue in central Cardiff of Aneurin Bevan, the Labour politician who was Minister for Health in the 1945-51 Attlee government and spearheaded the establishment of the National Health Service. Born in Tredegar in Monmouthshire, Nye Bevan as he was usually called was the son of a coal miner. He was, on 2004, voted in top spot in a poll to find the greatest Welsh hero. This statue was created by Robert Thomas.
Ironically, given the number of clapped-out Atlanteans that MTL Manchester were running into the city, the newest Merseybus Atlantean around was one that they had sold !
Merseyside PTE took just one batch of Atlanteans with MCW bodies, in 1978 (they probably hadn't forgiven them for the Metropolitans !), and they had shorter lives with Merseybus than those from other builders. Former 1810 was one of an assortment of Atlanteans to join the South Manchester fleet in 1994 from that source, and was used briefly in the Tame Valley fleet prior to S.M. having their licence granted. It would only run for another year though, and failed to see out 1995.

Krishnas flute, called Murali, is an extension of his beauty and grace. It is the All-Pervading Net that draws all who hear it to him. A Bengali poem speaks of the helplessness of a gopi in its spell:
How can I describe his relentless flute,
Which pulls virtuous women from their homes
And drags them by their hair to Krishna
As thirst and hunger pull the doe to the snare?
Chaste ladies forget their lords,
Wise men forget their wisdom,
And clinging vines shake loose from their trees,
Hearing that music.
Then how shall a simple dairymaid withstand its call?

The texts describe the utter abandon that comes over even the most loyal and dutiful wife, daughter, maiden, or woman when a note of Mirali is heard. They leave cows half-milked, food on the stove, one ear-ring dangling, one eye unpainted, and in their hurry to find Krishna, girdles slip from their hips and their hair falls loose.
This affront to moral and social law is not the wantonness of loose women, but souls responding to the higher call of the divine given voice in Krishnas flute. And in his joyous presence, the rustic maidens sing and dance with heavenly grace.

The number of Trucks, Vans* and Special Purpose Vehicles (Light, Medium & Heavy) registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 120,000 - 125,000 vehicles and presumably new trucks registered are offset by old trucks being retired or sold over the border in China.
*Vans are classified as Light Goods Vehicles and are not shown in this album
In Hong Kong Trucks are classified as GOODS VEHICLES By the Transport Department - see below
☛Light Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5.5 tonnes.
☛Medium Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 5.5 tonnes but not exceeding 24 tonnes.
☛Heavy Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 tonnes but not exceeding 38 tonnes.
The major truck types you tend to see in urban areas are trucks carrying construction materials or waste, dump trucks, concrete mixers and all sizes of delivery trucks... outside of the urban areas it is container trucks and large trucks carrying construction materials.

Hong Kong is a brand conscious place even for trucks (!) hence the popularity of the European brands, Scania and Man are very popular and even the older trucks look the business and they are utterly reliable.
Isuzu is the market leader in terms of sale volume for all types of trucks.
