What was meant to be a short break from social media quickly heralded the looks of yet another hiatus. In reality, my First Life (FL) was doing what my FL seems to do best: Entangling me in unforeseen circumstances. We've all been there before though, no?

I'm back! It will probably take me a minute to acclimate to Flickr and blogging again, but I hope that you have all been safe and wonderful. Let's catch up soon! ♥

Did you forget to call me?

Or baby, did you lose my number?

Don't tell me that you're sorry

Whose covers are you sleeping under?

I was just across the street

And I just wanted to reach out

Thinking we could get together

And I didn't mean to stalk you

But I saw that guy you talked to

Everybody knows I'm jealous

And I know it's not all about me

I know that you don't come easily

But you reach for the stars if it's worth it

If you're gonna act like we're just friends

Throw away the messages I sent

If you're playing a game, then it's working

Did you forget to call me?

Or baby, did you lose my number?

(Did you lose my number?)

Don't tell me that you're sorry

Whose covers are you sleeping under?

You know I just want someone that I can love

Someone that I can love

Someone that I can love

Can love

Did you forget to call me?

Or baby, did you lose my number?

(Did you lose my number?)

Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera carunculata) juvenile

The first of the Wattlebird chicks to leave the nest. We have three nests in different trees.

This one was hopping from branch to branch while Mum was bringing food for it and at least one more in the nest. It finally stopped on a branch that gave me an almost clear shot.

The very first shot I took a few months ago with my then brand new 800mm lens when I went outside and just took everything in sight! Not too sure about the ID on the flower - happy for any suggestions. I'm guessing a type of iris.

Happy Gorgeous Green (background) Thursday!

Thanks to Boris for correctly identifying this as a Fortnight Lily - AKA Wild Iris!

The buoys for navigation have such a varied appearance. Sometimes they appear as bizarre as in this case.

“ There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days …

There are sailing ships that pass all our bodies in the grass …

There are names across the sea, only now I do believe … “

PASSING AFTERNOON by IRON and WINE

ENDLESS NUMBERED DAYS

Sea foam, sea glass

seashells, treasures

collecting driftwood

at our leisure

pebbles, stones

Mother of Pearl

amber nuggets

memories whirl

moonlight, sunshine

bare-foot walks

paddle, swim and

endless talk

smiles and laughter

escapades

secrets kept and

a promise made

waves and cries

of seabirds high

fishing boats

left high and dry

row of huts

and two, nine, seven

find the key

to seventh heaven …

Last nigh drving back, I tought that I would do a little stop at the wind mill park to see the stars. The roads are bad to get there, I should only go with truck not car...anyway I enjoy and found a nice little spot. So here is Windmill #66 vs milky way.

I think my shutter was bit too long(30sec) the stars are trailling just a bit.

Families live and work on the water. Use a number of small boats in coordinating necessary tasks.

Barrio de Santa Cruz, or could be del Carmen…after a while they all look similar, especially after a night on the sauce… 🍷

This is an image I have wanted to attempt for a number of years now. It is strangely adjacent to a major highway and a challenge to achieve. However, this time it appeared possible to go for it. In the past we have always been busily racing home from an outing and the timing was always wrong with a car full of family.

Now, I was on my own and the highway was not too busy. Part of the challenge is just stopping because the highway shoulder is barely wide enough. Cars are whizzing by at 120K. However, the conditions were right to grab this shot and this is the result.
