I don't want to flood my photostream with all tassie shots for now so let's head back to the nice memories of Cambodia again. This famous Central market is very old yet super interesting. Its really cramped, dark, humid, hot & rather dirty as you can see from the details of the ceiling. It has a mysterious maze of small stalls selling everything from antiques (mostly fake) and jewelleries, to pirated movies, books, textiles, hardware, food, and produce, including fresh cannabis. U name it they have it... all under one roof.. an ideal place for a shopaholic really... except without air con!!!

The Russian Market in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Russian Market (Cambodian "Psar Toul Tom Poung" - it gained the "Russian Market" moniker following the Vietnamese occupation of the city in the 1980s, but many motodops are not familiar with the name) offers the opportunity to buy REAL designer clothes at a huge discount price. A lot of the factories for Levi's, CK, Ralph Lauren and many other brands are in Phnom Pehn, however a lot of the clothes sold here are deemed unfit to be shipped abroad due to very small fault in the clothing which a majority of people wouldn't even notice, therefore they are sold at the Russian market. You can also purchase fake Swiss watches and pirated software at low prices. It also has the best ice coffee in the city. Russian Market is located away from normal tourist areas, but motodop drivers who cater to tourists will know it.

He was a shining example of turning your life around, speaking truth to power, living every day as though it is your last and refusing to 'know your place' and buckle under; a man who believed in going out and fighting for what is yours by right, rather than waiting for the man with the foot on your neck to decide he wants to let you up.
There are times when no words are necessary. It's as simple as that to share an intimate moment between two people.

Main story

until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

１ 内省的。 独りで部屋にこもって、壁に向かってぶつぶつ呟く感じ。
２ 詩が素敵。曲調に合わせて、作者の世界観がゆらゆら揺らめく世界観。
３ 奇想天外。作者の前後のアルバムから推測できない驚きが見える。
４ 詩。楽曲。プロデュース。アルバム全体のコンセプトが統一されている。
５ 透明感があると個人的には惹かれる。

In “Wheelbarrow”, he is transfixed by hundreds of blackbirds returning at dusk from a day in the fields west of town. They fill the patch of sky over my tiny backyard, temporarily blackening the sky. They seem to hesitate, frozen in time, then flap away in unison to decorate the top branches of the giant Sycamore tree next door, like so many Christmas clip-on bird ornaments. Don’t the birds do that every night during the summer? Yeah, he’s right; it’s pretty amazing.

This photo is a view from the Comeragh Drive across the plain at the foothills of the mountain ranges. ( I believe those mountains in view are of Slievenamon, the 'Mountain of Women' or the 'Mountain of Maidens' after folklore connects it to the pursuit of Gráinne by Fionn Mac Cumhaill (thanks to Carrickbeg Kate for the information!). Correct me if I've got it wrong.)

Steps 11 through 17 are only necessary if your doll has a hair part. If the doll you are re-rooting does not, skip to Step 18. I also recommend reattaching the doll's head to her body for the final stages.
#11: Section the doll's part line out, and tie back the rest of her hair with clips or elastics. Make sure to take your time with this step.
#12: Start with the first two plugs at the beginning of Barbie's part line. Using the eye of the needle, separate them from the rest of the part line hair, and clip the rest of it back.
#13: In order to thatch the parting so the doll's scalp doesn't show through, you'll need to crisscross the two hair plugs. Take the hair plug from the left side, and cross it over to the right. Then take the right plug, and cross it over to the left.
#14: Now that you have crisscrossed the hair, the scalp will not show through. Make sure to clip/tie these plugs down so they do not return to their original state.
#15: For a professional/factory look, it works best to subdivide the hair plugs in half before crisscrossing them. So instead of taking one whole plug and crossing it over the other whole hair plug, you divide each plug in half. Taking one half of hair from the left side, and cross it over to the right. Take one half of the right side, and cross it over to the left. Repeat this process, until all four sections have been thatched. This is an optional way of thatching the doll's part, but it covers the scalp much more effectively, but it takes more time.
#16: Continue thatching two plugs at a time, and clipping them aside until the entire part line has been done.
#17: Remove all the clips/hair ties and place one rubber band around the doll's head to hold the part line in place.
#18: In order to set the part line, and to smooth the hair down (which is probably sticking up a bit at this stage), you will need to boil wash the doll's hair into place. The hot water will set the style and part line. For more information about boil washing, see my tutorial here:

#19: Once you've boil washed the hair and set it with cold water, let the doll air dry. Placing her in front of a fan will dry it faster (but do not use a blow dryer, or you will burn the hair). Once she is dry, your doll will have a beautiful head of brand new hair!
***IMPORTANT NOTES***
*Re-rooting is a finicky process that takes a lot of practice. Your first few re-roots may turn out a little funny. For instance, you may root the doll with two much hair. Just remember that practice makes perfect!
*Make sure to be neat with the hanks of hair, because they tangle very easily. When I first began re-rooting dolls, I actually destroyed an entire hank of hair, because I somehow managed to wad it all together.
*You can partially re-root dolls with this same technique. Just fill in the empty or half full hair plugs with new hair. Make sure to trim down any split ends or super damaged hairs on each plug though, or your final result won't look as polished.
*There are many different re-rooting methods. This is the one that works the best for me. I recommend doing your research and choosing one that works best for you.
*Different hair types can be easier or harder to work with. If you are looking to curl your doll's new hair, I recommend using nylon or kanekalon hair as they both curl/hold style the best. However, I find that saran hair is the easiest to work with and looks the best. Nylon hair comes in many grades--the low quality kind is a nightmare to work with, especially for beginners (I speak from personal experience). I recommend using My Little Pony nylon (from Dolly Hair) as it is high quality, and easy to work with. Do your research and figure out which hair type suits your needs.
*If you are customizing a doll, I recommend re-rooting his/her hair first, and then painting his/her face. The re-root process can easily chip custom face paint...not to mention, the doll's face gets dirty from making so much contact with your hands.
*If you wish to use glue in your doll's head to secure the hair plugs (which is not necessary for my methode, but it is an option), make sure to use a kind that is not water soluble. If the glue is water soluble, it will dissolve in the boil wash water.
*Re-rooting mimics how dolls are rooted in the factory. Therefore, you can comb, style, wash, and boil wash their hair just as you normally would be able to on a doll with factory hair.
*You can cut the hair after re-rooting to your desired style. I just recommend having an idea of how short you want the doll's hair to be ahead of time, so you don't waste a ton of hair by cutting it off.
*The initial re-root process will leave your doll with natural looking, long layers. You do not need to cut the hair if you do not wish to, as it will look great already (this was the case for my Day-to-Night Barbie).

Alright, so this whole Black Flash situation has only gotten stranger. The scythe randomly begins to shoot electricity from the handle. Julio and I have taken necessary precautions and placed it in a safe room that is based on an old Metahuman containment facility that Barry designed for Iron Heights. Since we did this, Julio has been able to take safe samples of the staff and began trying to find a way to find places that the Black Flash might be. For now, until he does so, I was alerted to a bank for a current robbery in progress.
I arrive at the scene and immediately notice something strange about the scene. All the people around the building are seemingly dazed. Their movements mimic that of a toddler the way they stumble and fall. Odd. No matter, I must stop this bank robbery before any one is hurt. I make my way inside and notice a blonde woman spinning joyously through the small corridor that leads to the room that houses all the safety deposit boxes.
”Freeze, ma’am!” I shout. The woman quickly turns around. She steps closer to me as she twirls a strand of her hair with her finger. ”I said ‘freeze’!”
”I’m sorry. Must have misunderstood you. My bad.”
”Do you know where the thief is?”
”I am the thief and you can’t stop me.” She says as she spins wags her finger in a circular motion towards me. As she does this I begin to get an overwhelming sense of dizziness. It’s almost like a head rush times a hundred. I drop to the ground, holding my head. ”You didn’t even put up a fight. Sorry Flash. Looks like you weren’t fast enough to stop the Top.”
The woman says as she quickly runs into the safety deposit room. Shortly thereafter she comes back out holding a large sack full of money and valuable items. She laughs as she exits the building. I hear the police sirens sounding through the streets as she vanishes from my sight. Hopefully they slow her down until I get my bearings back.

Sometime it is necessary to position the mixing desk beside the stage instead of out in front of it. I mixed the show on an ipad in amongst the audience.
This was The Edwin Starr band, who did a great show.
Nothing gets done before my coffee, and my patience is at the bottom of that cup! However, it’s such a pretty cup, and I love enjoying the Christmas tree lights while I sip and plan my day. This time serves as an opportunity for morning meditation, making lists, planning meals, and allowing whatever else enters my mind to flow freely.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

Just testing out my new G10.
I have also decided to start documenting the Malé swimming track; which is basically and quite ironically, the islands only swimming area. Unless you count the artificial beach; but that place is tiny and extremely shallow.
At this point in Toronto, residents are advised to avoid close interpersonal contact and unnecessary travel outside the house. We are told quick trips for groceries and medications are ok, as are outdoor walks that do not involve close contact with others. That may change.
I was on my way to the pharmacy when I saw this neighborhood family combatting "cabin fever" by doing exercise laps around the block with their children who were on scooter and bike.
I'm sure these parents would regard it as "necessary travel."
I think some explanation is necessary for all my not Polish followers. All saints day (the 1 of September) is the day when everyone visits the graves of the people that meant something to them (family and close friends). They leave candles and flowers on the graves. The best time to go there is just before dawn when you can see the beautiful lights. Almost drawn in the candles and flowers.

Alberta is getting its share of wildfires! An Emergency Alert warning came on the TV just a short while ago this afternoon. Following from CBC News.:
"An emergency alert was issued Thursday afternoon (19 October 2017) in Vulcan County due to a "serious" wildfire heading toward Gleichen and Cluny.
"Prepare for possible evacuation," reads a warning from Alberta's emergency alert system. "Take all necessary precautions. Follow the directions of local authorities.
"There is a serious fire which is currently in Vulcan County."
On its website, Wheatland County said a "running grass fire" was headed toward Gleichen and Cluny and that fire crews were responding.
"RCMP are currently evacuating all residents south of the Bow River," the county said.
Gleichen is about 100 kilometres east-southeast of Calgary.
I had been wondering whether to go out that way to look for old barns and homesteads, and had no idea that there was a wildfire burning out there. It's beginning to feel like we have wildfires burning around us in all directions.
I just read that the wildfire burning just to our north, in the Airdrie area, was caused by a smoker discarding a cigarette out the car window. What is it that some people are just not "getting", about not throwing out lit cigarettes when the Prairies are tinder dry??

"Widespread wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h, with some reaching as high as 130 km/h, blasted southern and central Alberta Tuesday afternoon and evening (17 October 2017), fanning wildfires and leaving some 10,000 customers without power." To put things into perspective, sustained winds between 119-153 km/h are considered Category 1 hurricane-force by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
A strong Pacific Jetstream caused dramatic weather the day before yesterday, along with rain and very strong winds that brought down trees, powerlines, falling glass from windows of office blocks in downtown, fanned wildfires, and so on.
Friend Gayle had asked if I would like to go out for the day and we ended up driving through the Springbank area and then on to Canmore. I had checked the weather forecast and, I have to admit that if I was planning to go out of the city on my own, I would have changed my mind and stayed home instead. However, we decided to at least get out for a while and see how far we would go. As it turned out, we got as far as Canmore in the mountains, where we had lunch - Lasagna for me : )
Feeling re-energized, we decided to start driving up the mountainous road that leads from Canmore to the Spray Lakes area. Though I have been on this road at various times, I have never driven it myself. If I want to get to the Spray Lakes area, I go from the south and all the way along Highway 40. This rough, narrow road is quite an adventure at any time. It gives a wonderful view looking down over the whole of Canmore and the river. It is also a popular road for Mountain Sheep, and we were lucky to see four of them in a little group, licking the salt from the bottom of the cliff rock face. It is incredible how these wild animals can climb the steep, rocky surface - done very cautiously. This is their road and if they want to stand in the middle of it, then cars wait.
"One of the most important features of the bighorn sheep is the unique structure of its hooves. Rather than being hard like those of a horse or cow, the sheep have rubber-like hooves that allow excellent mobility on steep rock faces."

Part way up the mountain, we took the turn-off to Quarry Lake, a place I had heard of and seen photos of, but had never been there myself. We parked and decided to walk round the lake, which turned out to be very unpleasant, with strong winds picking up grit and leaves and whipping our faces, as the storm moved in. For the first time ever, I believe, I saw a tree come crashing down at the edge of the forest.
Once safely back to the car, we thought we would drive a little further and see what conditions were like. Rain and very strong winds continued and once we reached the north end of Spray Lakes Reservoir, we made the decision to turn around and head back down. The mountains were disappearing from sight, so there wasn't much point in continuing, anyway. Gayle had hoped to go on as far as Banff, but there was no point in doing so in such dreadful weather.
As often happens, the weather seemed to brighten somewhat once we were out of the mountains. It felt so good to actually see some blue sky. Getting closer to Calgary, the car radio was announcing which city roads were blocked by a fallen tree or downed powerlines.
I was not far from home, shortly before sunset, when I noticed some impressive clouds and, on the spur of the moment, drove along one of the gravel back roads just within the edge of the city. It was worth it, though I was quite relieved when I finally reached home.
Many thanks, Gayle, for a great day out, braving the weather! We had fun and it certainly was an interesting experience. I really appreciated the chance to use my camera once more, before the next snowfall arrives and stays on the ground for the next few months.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

まず、語る前に最近の音楽の傾向について。
僕が今まで聴いてきた全ての音楽アルバムベスト１０と僕のiTunes。

僕が好きなアルバムの傾向は、
１ 内省的。 独りで部屋にこもって、壁に向かってぶつぶつ呟く感じ。
２ 詩が素敵。曲調に合わせて、作者の世界観がゆらゆら揺らめく世界観。
３ 奇想天外。作者の前後のアルバムから推測できない驚きが見える。
４ 詩。楽曲。プロデュース。アルバム全体のコンセプトが統一されている。
５ 透明感があると個人的には惹かれる。

○僕が書いた小説、unforgettableの一行目は、２２歳ごろに群像へ公募した小説から引用していて、当時、４００字詰め原稿用紙手書きで２５０枚仕上げました。その際、１週間寝ませんでしたっていう話など。
