When I take a maple shaking for wind, patience is necessary than I take a flower. There seemed to be the passenger who was more patient than me here. I noticed at the time of developing.

"However mean you life is, meet and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts… Superfluous wealth can buy superfluities only. Money is not required to buy one necessary of the soul."

I have also decided to start documenting the Malé swimming track; which is basically and quite ironically, the islands only swimming area. Unless you count the artificial beach; but that place is tiny and extremely shallow.
At this point in Toronto, residents are advised to avoid close interpersonal contact and unnecessary travel outside the house. We are told quick trips for groceries and medications are ok, as are outdoor walks that do not involve close contact with others. That may change.
I was on my way to the pharmacy when I saw this neighborhood family combatting "cabin fever" by doing exercise laps around the block with their children who were on scooter and bike.
I'm sure these parents would regard it as "necessary travel."

Notice regarding "Lot No.402_”.
From now on # I will host "Lot No.402_".
The work of Leonardo da Vinci who was sleeping.
That is the number when it was put up for auction.
No sign was written on the work.
So this work couldn't conclude that it was his work.
However # as a result of various appraisals # it was exposed to the sun.
A work that no one notices. A work that speaks quietly without a title.
I will continue to strive to provide it to many people in various ways.

About my book.
I published a book a long time ago.
At that time # I uploaded my interview as a PDF on the internet.
Its Japanese and English.
I will publish it for free.
For details # I explained to the Amazon site.
How to write a novel.
How to take a picture.
A sense of distance to the work.
All of these have something in common.
I wrote down what I felt and left it.
I hope my text will be read by many people.

Main story
There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.
One # to enjoy a slice of shine in the sea like children bubbling over in the beach.
The other # to brush the dust of memory like an old man who misses old days # staring at the shine
quietly.
Those lead to only one meaning though they do not seem to overlap. It’s a rebirth.
I face myself to change tomorrow # a vague day into something certain.
That is the meaning of a rebirth.
I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left # I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left # how many times did I depend too much on her # doubt her # envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However # I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me # a guy filled with ambiguous # unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

This diver seems to be wearing unnecessary clothing, which in my view amounts to Wrong Trousers. For We're Here on 23 November.
A time of year to deal with necessary paper work can be made more tolerable when dressed so it is one way to make the day much more pleasant.
It's backlit as hell, and not in the pretty way, but when a standard cab leads on a Class I these days, you shoot it (or at least this photog does). CN SD60 5484 leads a "repainted" UP AC44 with autoracks headed for the Grand Trunk Western and Canada.

Some 20 years earlier, I was in the green lineside hut at left, which the then track-walker had kitted-out as his home-from-home, complete with stove, armchair and some insulation for a degree of comfort. Long gone, no doubt.

It was sometimes necessary to photograph artefacts in order to use them at the ICTY. This could be done here using the strobes. The safe contained particularly dangerous or sensitive pieces of evidence, like weapons. The mockup to the right was used during trial to give judges a better understanding of the terrain.
From my project The Tribunal (at philipus.com), which I made during my last years at the ICTY to show the great diversity of this amazing institution.

NS 1072 leads the 256 Roadrailer through Sadorus. To my surprise, the thing had slowed right on down. I had been expecting to have to really put my foot down to stay ahead for another shot or two, but then it wasn't really necessary. Turns out 32N was stopped just ahead of it, and CN had revoked NS control of the Tolono diamond just minutes after giving it to them. They just kept lining CN trains through the diamond for ages and got 256 and 32N stuck for quite some time. Got a chance for some long distance glamour shots though, so that was fun. Wacky day out!
In March 1943, about 1,000 international people living in Shanghai were interned in Chapei Civil Assembly Centre by the Japanese. As the war progressed, food rations became smaller and less varied. Many people living in the camp were helped by people living in Shanghai from countries which were neutral during WWII, like Sweden. Also Chinese employees from foreign companies sent their former colleagues food.
This photo shows a label of such a food aid package, sent by the Swedish family Asker, to the Dutch family Hennus. Mr. C.G.C. Asker worked for the Maritime Customs Service of China (as per Records of the Maritime Customs Service of China 1854 –1949 Part Three: Semi-Official Correspondence from Selected Ports by Professor Robert Bickers, University of Bristol).
The text reads:
"DONOR: Mr C G C Asker, Swedish ...

Jam, 1 tin 12 ozs
Sugar, 2 lbs

Chapei Civil Assembly Centre was liberated on 15 August 1945, 76 years ago today.
California Digital Newspaper Collection, Vestkusten, Number 39, 28 September 1944:
"SWEDEN PRAISED FOR ASSISTANCE IN BRINGING AID TO WAR PRISONERS. By Dr. I). A. Davis, Associate Executive Director, Y. M. C. A. Worlds Committee,
Sweden and Switzerland, spared the horrors of warfare, are doing their share to lighten the burden of war victims. These two neutral countries are cooperating with the War Prisoners Aid of the Y. M. C. A., with headquarters in Geneva and New York, in sending material aid to war prisoners and civilian internees in Europe and the Far East. The rights and privileges of more than 6,000,000 prisoners of war confined behind barbed wire throughout the world are protected by the treaty called “The Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War,” signed by 47 nations on July 27, 1920. Among other things the Geneva Convention specifies that various welfare organizations may have access to war prison camps to render certain services to prisoners; thus War Prisoners Aid, under the auspices of the Y. M. C. A. World’s Committee carries on its stimulating programs of educational, recreational and religious activities among war prisoners, regardless of race, creed or nationality. The role that Sweden plays in this important services are manifold, for giving financial support as well as supplying materials for leisure-time activities. They provide also a large percentage of the personell necessary. From Sweden comes books, writing materials, lumber and other materials hardly found now in other european countries and piany of the neutral secretaries are permitted to visit war prison and internment camps. “We sail never forget what your Swedish colleague, Hoffman, did for us in England,” said a German prisoner of war to Gunnar Celander, Swedish representative of War Prisoners Aid, during a recent prisoner of war exchange between Germany and England, through Sweden. Boatloads of German prisoners from Canada, U. S. and .England, and British prisoners from Germany, docked at Trelleborg and Goteborg, while they transferred to boats waiting to take them home.
The Swedish Y. M. C. A. and Red Cross Lottas, Swedish rail roads and welfare organizations assumed a large portion of the responsibility of looking after these men— most of whom were invalided and blind during their short stay in the country. Food, travel facilities, reading matter, games, gramophones supplied with records of German and British music were made available to make the men comfortable. Crown princess Louise visited the prisoners, with representatives of the Swedish government, who officially welcomed them. Mr. Celander reported “We Swedes are happy that it was the privilege of our country to arrange this exchange of prisoners in the spirit of conciliation and kindness in the midst of the fire of conflict. I longed to share with the entire Y. M. C. A. and its secretaries the memory of the happy faces these homeward-bound prisoners and their many proofs of gratitude. All these men can testify that we were able to serve them in of their liberation. That is the highest reward and greatest encouragement for our work.” In Stockholm a War Prisoners Aid office is under the able leader their capacity as well as in' these days ship of Hugo Cedergren, Associate Director of Y. M. C. A., and National Secretary of the Swedish Y. M. C. A. Mr. Cedergren, who has visited prisoners in Europe, U. S. and Canada, said recently in America: “The spirit of prisoners is excellent. I can say that honestly from my own experience. The treatment they are receiving is correct and good.” Mrs Ceder gren is the daughter of Prince Oscar Bernadotte, brother of King Gustaf. He is honorary president of the Swedish Y. M. C. A. Pastor Carl-Erik Wenngren of the Stockholm Diocese, Associated National .Secretary of the Swedish Y. M. C. A., is now in U. S. as a neutral representative of the Ecumenical Commission for Chaplaincy Service to prisoners of war, of the World Council of Churches, and as a representative of War Prisoners Aid of the Y. M. C. A. He is visiting camps throughout America carrying the message of the church, especially to German prisoners, conducting services and other functions of a minister. Gunnar Celander, Henry Soderberg, Gunnar Janssen, O, M. Carlman and Erik Berg have been recruited from Sweden to visit war prison camps in Germany, while Bengt Hoffman carries War Prisoners Aid service to allied fliers detained in Sweden in compliance with neutrality laws. Civilan internment camps in France ares visited by mr. and Mrs. Hemming Andermo. The Swedish representative in India is Fredrik Franklin. (In the Philippine Islands, aid to prisoners of war and civilian internees is carried on under a neutral committee of Swiss, Irish, Danish, French, Belgian and Norwegian citizens, headed by Swedish Ex-Consul Helge A. Jansson, in Manila, and appointed by W. J. K. Bagge, Swedish Minister to Japan, since July 1942, chairman of neutral citizens, responsible for Y. M. C. A. services to prisoners and internees in Japan and Japanese-controlled areas. All contact between War Prisoners Aid and Japanese government are made through Stockholm. Through Minister Bagge, War Prisoners’ Aid received the first complete information about aid work in the Philippines. Final permission was given by the Japanese for the YMCA to purchase monthly in the Philippines sorely needed relief supplies for shipment to camps there in which Allied prisoners are interned. War Prisoners’ Aid service to allied war prisoners and civilian internees in Japan and Japan-held territory other than the Philippines is headed by I. P. Troedsson, Swedish Consul to Japan, assisted by N. E. Ericson of the Swedish Legation in Tokyo, under supervision of Minister Bagge. Swedish representatives of War Prisoners’ Aid make regular visits to camps in Japan are B. Gawell, John Anderson, A. Swensson and O. Pettersson, C. G. C. Asker works in Shanghai, and in Thailand, War Prisoners’ Aid service is carried to prisoners of war by F. Ehnstedt, Swedish Consul there. N. Arne Bendtz, with headquarters in Chungking, is in charge of War Prisoners Aid Services in Free China. He was responsible for taking aid not long ago to the more than two hundred German and Italian Catholic Fathers who had been interned for more than a year in the Honan Province. Traveling hundreds of miles over famine-stricken war-ridden country by car, rickshaw and on foot, climbing bleak, rugged hills, fording gushing streams, enduring scorching heat, mud and a plague of locusts, Bendtz finally reached his destination and found that the missionaries were living in dilapidated buildings, lacked essential food and clothing and faced grave financial difficulties. “For about three weeks I lived among these Catholic missionaries sharing their daily life, which I shall never forget,” wrote Bendtz in his report to Geneva. “They had suffered a lot during the past year and we came, as one said, “like an angel from Heaven, to soothe and comfort their sorrowful hearts.” “They had not met another foreigner since internment, and the concerts and speeches made in honor of the War Prisoners’ Aid representative were visible tokens of their gratitude.” Solutions to many problems facing War Prisofters’ Aid of the YMCA, a participating agency of the National War Fund, in its service to prisoners and civilian internees in Europe and the Far East, are greatly facilitated by the cooperation of Sweden.

When they are so evil, why they always saved us clones from death?
Nobody in the universe will be ever safe a life of a slave, even if he is the best worker in the outer rim.
And who is this Darth Vader why is he allowed to commanding us.. is it possible he is someone from the old Jedi order..?

After transitioning off the Jacob's Ladder Trestle, Mt. Washington Cog Railway trains tackle this stretch of track, known as "Long Trestle", with an average grade of 25%....which is damn steep! The trestle is not named for someone named Long, but is so-named purely because of its length. This structure affords the passengers an awesome view of the 1900 ft. deep Burt Ravine on the left side of the train. Folks who are squeamish about heights might want to avoid sitting on the left side here, as it's a pretty steep drop-off. A quick look to the right reveals that we're pretty much reaching the tree line here. This is the last of the Krummholtz. From here on up, this mountain is nothing but grass and granite. There is a reason it is called "The Rockpile."
In this image, you can see the results of the recent re-railing effort undertaken by the railway. For over 100 years, the rails used here were 25 lb. light rail, spiked to support timbers (called "side pieces"), which sat on top of the ties. The side pieces were necessary to build the rail up to the height of the cog rack, which also sits on similar support timbers (called "center pieces.") Needless to say, the additional lumber supporting the rails was a constant maintenance headache. The light rail also made for a rougher ride and was never designed to handle the heavy diesel hydraulic locomotives in use now, or the increased train traffic. To improve the situation, the railway has replaced all of the 25 lb. rail with 100 lb. rail, which is tall enough to no longer require the side pieces. The track is now more robust and the ride is smoother. The cog rack still sits on support timbers, but unlike the rails, it has to be replaced periodically, as it does wear out, so the wood is replaced when this happens. Why was the cog rack elevated to begin with? Mainly because the gearing for the cog wheels on the steam locomotives hangs below the level of the wheels which ride on the rails, so both the rails and the cog rack needed to be tall enough to allow the gears to clear the cross-ties. Got all of that?
Great American Ball Park is a baseball stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is the home field of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. It opened in 2003, replacing Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium), their home field from 1970 to 2002. The park's name comes from Great American Insurance Group.
The ballpark hosted the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The Reds put in $5 million for improvements, which included two new bars and upgraded concession stands.
In 1996, Hamilton County voters passed a ½% sales tax increase to fund the construction of new venues for both the Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). The Reds and the Bengals had previously shared occupancy of Cinergy Field, but by the mid-1990s, they complained that the multi-purpose stadium lacked amenities necessary for small-market professional sports teams to compete and each lobbied for venues of their own.[11] Nearby Paul Brown Stadium broke ground in 1998 and was opened on August 19, 2000.
Great American Ball Park was built by the architectural firms Populous (then HOK Sport) and GBBN at a cost of approximately US$290 million. It is located on the plot of land between the former site of Cinergy Field and US Bank Arena; it was known locally as the "wedge". The limited construction space necessitated the partial demolition of Cinergy Field. It was fully demolished on December 29, 2002.
The original address of Great American Ball Park was 100 Main Street. However, after the death of former pitcher and longtime broadcaster Joe Nuxhall in 2007, the address was changed to 100 Joe Nuxhall Way. A sign bearing Nuxhall's traditional signoff phrase "rounding third and heading for home" is located on the third base side exterior of the park. The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum is adjacent to Great American Ball Park. In honor of Crosley Field, the Cincinnati Reds' home park from 1912 to June 1970, a monument reminiscent of the park's infamous left field terrace was built on the main entrance plaza on Joe Nuxhall Way; statues of Crosley-era stars Nuxhall, catcher Ernie Lombardi, first baseman Ted Kluszewski, and outfielder Frank Robinson are depicted playing an imaginary baseball game.
A 35-foot-(10.7-m)-wide break in the stands between home plate and third base called "The Gap" is bridged by the concourse on each level (see photo). Aligned with Sycamore Street, it provides views into the stadium from downtown and out to the skyline from within the park.
In right center field, two smokestacks, reminiscent of the steamboats that were common on the Ohio River in the 19th and early 20th centuries, flash lights, emit flames and launch fireworks to incite or respond to the home team's efforts. When the Reds strike out a batter, fire blows out of the stacks beginning with the 2012 season (previously, steam was spewed out following a strikeout). Fireworks are launched from the stacks after every Reds home run and win. The seven baseball bats featured on both smokestacks symbolize the #14 of Pete Rose. On May 15, 2015, a part of the top of the right smokestack caught on fire during the 6th inning of a Reds game, caused by a loose propane valve, causing smoke to be blown across the field, several sections of seats to be evacuated, and the Cincinnati Fire Department being called to put it out. No one was injured.
A 50-foot-by-20-foot (15 x 6 m) Indiana limestone bas relief carving near the main entrance features a young baseball player looking up to the heroic figures of a batter, pitcher and fielder, all set against the background of many of Cincinnati's landmarks, including the riverfront and Union Terminal. Local designers and artist created the piece between 2001 and 2003 with concept, design and project oversight / management by Berberich Design. The illustrative artist was Mark Riedy, the sculptors of the scale model used for fabrication were Todd Myers and Paul Brooke with fabrication by Mees Distributors.
Just inside the main gates off the Crosley Terrace you will find two mosaic panels measuring 16 feet wide by 10 feet high. The mosaics depict two key eras in Reds history: "The First Nine", the 1869 Red Stockings who were the first professional baseball team in history with a record of 57-0 in their first season and "The Great Eight", the famous Big Red Machine that won back-to-back World Series in 1975 and 1976. The mosaics were created between 2001 and 2003 with concept, design and project oversight / management by Berberich Design. The illustrative artist was Mark Riedy. These mosaic panels are made of opaque glass tiles and were produced in Ravenna, Italy by SICIS.
Panoramas of downtown Cincinnati, Mt. Adams, the Ohio River and Northern Kentucky are visible from most of the park.
At 217 feet, 9 inches (66.4 m) wide, the scoreboard from Daktronics is the sixth largest in Major League Baseball, and the 15th largest in the United States out of all LED screens. The Reds paid $4 million to install a new, LED scoreboard and high definition video screen in time for the 2009 season. The scoreboard did not add any size from the previous, but added HD quality. The scoreboard clock was originally a replica of the Longines clock at Crosley Field, but has since been modified.
If a Reds player hits the "Hit Me" sign located between the Power Stacks located in right field, a randomly selected fan will win the red Toyota Tundra pickup truck located on top of an elevator shaft approximately 500 feet (150 m) from home plate beyond the center field fence, which is valued at approximately US$31,000.
As a nod to Crosley Field, the Reds' home from 1912–1970, a monument was created in front of the main entrance to highlight the park's famous left-field terrace. Bronze statues of Crosley-era stars Joe Nuxhall, Ernie Lombardi, Ted Kluszewski, and Frank Robinson (created by sculptor Tom Tsuchiya) are depicted playing in an imaginary ballgame. The grass area of the terrace has the same slope as the outfield terrace at Crosley Field.
A three-piece mural on the back of the scoreboard in left field depicts the bat Pete Rose used for his record-breaking 4,192nd hit and the ball he hit in 1985. This was replaced with new banners in 2015 as part of the All-Star Game upgrades.
Located on the west side of Great American Ball Park on Main Street, the Hall of Fame and Museum celebrate the Reds' past through galleries and extensive use of multimedia. The Hall of Fame has been in existence since 1958, but did not previously have a building.
A private party area located above the batter's eye.
The dimension of 404 feet (123 m) in center field is a tribute to the same center field dimension in the Reds' previous home, Riverfront Stadium.
A glass encased restaurant on the third level of the stadium that serves upscale food and has views of the field and the river.
Adjacent to both the stadium and the Reds Hall of Fame is a rose garden that symbolizes Pete Rose's record-breaking 4,192nd hit. It was strategically placed here because the ball landed around this area in Riverfront Stadium. The garden is visible from a stairwell in the hall of fame displaying the number of balls that Rose hit.
For the 2015 season, Great American Ball Park became the first MLB ballpark to feature a suite designed exclusively as a place for mothers to feed and care for their babies Reds COO Phil Castellini, a father of 5, says he felt compelled to do his best to provide a worthwhile solution after stadium officials told him an increasing number of women were asking where they could nurse their children at the ballpark. The suite has 5 glider chairs, diaper-changing stations, a restroom, a kitchenette, refrigerator, lockers, and televisions showing the game. It's located on the Suite Level near the Champions Club elevators.
After the 2008 season, all of the scoreboards in the park were replaced by new high-definition video displays. The Reds have a ten-year contract with the Daktronics company of Brookings, South Dakota, and also have contracted with Sony for the high-definition video cameras and production equipment, which will be operated from a renovated control room. A team of 25 people will be responsible for the content of the displays.
The previous displays were installed by the Trans-Lux company when Great American Ball Park was built. However, Trans-Lux went bankrupt, and the team could not find replacement parts.
"We were just limping through, hoping the old scoreboard would make it to the end of the 2008 season", said Reds spokesman Michael Anderson.
Jennifer Berger, Reds senior director of entertainment, events and production said that the Cincinnati Reds will assume the responsibility of the cost of maintaining the displays; the fans will not have to bear the brunt of paying for them.
The team expects to save money in the long term due to the displays' increased energy efficiency.

The Bagby Depot is in the process of being dismantled for future removal. Facing boards have been removed between the two stories. The Stationhouse and the water tanks here at Bagby in 1966 were moved to the Yosemite Valley Railway museum in El Portal. The move was necessary because this area would soon be flooded by the increased size of Exchequer Reservoir. Ted Benson's 1962 Ford Falcon station wagon, "Auntie Grizelda", with his dad behind the wheel, stands about where the house track to the loading dock would have been.
For many years, the Miami-Dade County Courthouse, at an elevation of 360 feet, was reputed to be the tallest building south of Baltimore.
It was the County's first high-rise and is in the National Register of Historic Places. Efforts to refurbish this magnificent structure and restore it to its original grandeur have been underway since 1981 by Architect James W. Piersol, AIA of M.C Harry Associates Architects of Miami.
The restoration and renovations initially stabilized the terra cotta facade, and installed new life safety systems. In 1982, the idea of restoring the lobby to its original distinction was the passion of both Architect James Piersol and engineer Don Youatt, of the Miami-Dade Planning and Development Department. With a little less than half of the funding necessary for the lobby restoration project in hand ($300,000 grant approved by the Legislature in 1996), the Dade County Bar Association acted as the fund-raising umbrella and initiate a drive to raise the remainder needed from lawyers and the general public. A few years later, the same team restored Courtroom 6-1, which had been the site of many infamous trials over the years.
Today, the Miami-Dade County Courthouse provides offices, chambers, and courtrooms for the clerks and judiciary assigned to both the Circuit and County Civil Court and the Family Court.
When county government was established following the Civil War, public records were so sparse they could be carried in a carpetbag and most probably were. Therefore, the "courthouse" was wherever the county's chief office holder decided to do business.
In 1890, Dade County's first courthouse stood in the town of Juno, Florida some ten miles north of West Palm Beach. At that time, Dade County covered more territory than it does today, stretching from Bahia Honda Key, in the middle Keys, up to the St. Lucie River, near present-day Port St. Lucie.
Juno was chosen as the "county seat" because of its strategic location at the southern terminus of the Jupiter-Juno railroad. Juno also held the northern terminus of the boat and connecting stagecoach line to Miami. The courthouse remained in Juno (now no longer in existence) until 1899, when it was moved to Miami down the inland waterway on a barge and was placed on the banks of the Miami River, east of the old Miami Avenue bridge.
The building was two story wooden frame construction, housing offices and jail cells on the ground floor and a courtroom on the second floor. It has a Neoclassical design, in 1904 this building was replaced by a new courthouse building situated on Flagler Street (then known as Twelfth Street). It was a magnificent building constructed of limestone, having an elegant red-domed top, at the cost of $47,000. It was anticipated that this courthouse would serve the city for at least fifty years; however, no one was prepared for the rapid growth Miami experienced during this period, and by 1924, only twenty years later, there was serious talk of the need for a larger courthouse.
In the early 1920s, architect A. Ten Eyck Brown entered a design competition for Atlanta City Hall, which was rejected. He then made the plans available to Dade County, and City and County officials readily approved them. It was decided by the officials to build the new courthouse at the same location as the existing one on Flagler Street. Construction began in 1925, with workers erecting the new building around the existing structure, which was then dismantled. Community leaders and citizens alike voiced excitement over the new 28 story "skyscraper" that would soon dominate the skyline.
Unexpectedly, construction was halted when the building reached ten stories. It was discovered that the "high-rise" was sinking into the spongy ground. Engineers consulted with an architect from Mexico City, whom had encountered a similar problem while building the city's opera house. The consultant determined that the foundation pilings were not set deep enough. To correct the problem, cement supports were poured, which take up much of the space in the building's basement file room even to this day.
The courthouse was finally completed in 1928 at the cost of $4 million (USD 2013 $54.5 million). Initially, it served as both the Dade County Courthouse and the Miami City Hall. Jail cells occupied the top nine floors because these heights offered "maximum security" and were considered escape proof. In 1934, a prisoner housed on the twenty-first floor picked the lock of his jail cell window and used a fire hose to lower himself to freedom. In the years following, more than 70 prisoners escaped from this so-called "secure" prison.

317722, the 317 test bed unit trialing AC traction motors amongst other things, is seen passing the Romford ROC on the Witham trials path, working 5F96 10+40 Ilford Depot - Witham. The unit was being tested after suffering one of its many 'sit down' moments, prior to going back into passenger service.
Getting the unit on the Witham trials path was necessary so it could have a proper 100mph run- something the West Anglia route does not offer. Ilford based drivers did not 'sign' 317722, despite being competent on 317 units, 722 was different due to the different equipment fitted to the train. The figure in the secondmans side window is an Ilford based driver, route conducting a Bishops Stortford based driver who signed the unit but not the route.
317722 was withdrawn during June 2016, and was moved to Ely Papworth Sidings during 2019 for storage.

I am home since March the 14th and only gone out for the necessary fridge filling goodies.
I have seen my parents only a few times and all of them was from distance.
I have seen my sister and her family only through video calls and have seen my nieces grow up through a screen.
I almost had a mental breakdown two times and I had put all the strength in me to not let it overflow my true self.
I cooked almost everyday and tried new recipes that I thought I could never achieve.
I started exercising,me who always said that "I will run only if someone is chasing me".
I read books and played videogames.
I managed to start taking my self portraits again, which I hadn't done since 2018.
I understood how much I love -him- and that we are part of each other in a way I never thought I would connect with a partner.
I have done so many things in our house these days that I have decided that I needed a pause. And just chill for a while, you know?
The bookstore I work in,will be opening it's doors again in Monday and I feel kind of nervous that I will be in surgical gloves and mask everyday for an 8h shift.
But I miss outside so much that I will get through this too.
We all will.
A huge thanks to all of you,who check out my work and take some time to comment and share what I love to do.
Stay safe.
The Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) is a small passerine bird in the tit family, Paridae. It is easily recognizable by its blue and yellow plumage and small size.
Eurasian blue tits, usually resident and non-migratory birds, are widespread and a common resident breeder throughout temperate and subarctic Europe and western Asia in deciduous or mixed woodlands with a high proportion of oak. They usually nest in tree holes, although they easily adapt to nest boxes where necessary. Their main rival for nests and in the search for food is the larger and more common great tit.
The Eurasian blue tit prefers insects and spiders for its diet. Outside the breeding season, they also eat seeds and other vegetable-based foods. The birds are famed for their skill, as they can cling to the outermost branches and hang upside down when looking for food.
The Eurasian blue tit is usually 12 cm (4.7 in), long with a wingspan of 18 cm (7.1 in) for both sexes, and weighs about 11 g (0.39 oz). A typical Eurasian blue tit has an azure-blue crown and dark blue line passing through the eye, and encircling the white cheeks to the chin, giving the bird a very distinctive appearance. The forehead and a bar on the wing are white. The nape, wings and tail are blue and the back is yellowish green. The underparts is mostly sulphur-yellow with a dark line down the abdomen—the yellowness is indicative of the number of yellowy-green caterpillars eaten, due to high levels of carotene pigments in the diet. The bill is black, the legs bluish grey, and the irides dark brown. The sexes are similar, but under ultraviolet light, males have a brighter blue crown. Young blue tits are noticeably more yellow.
There are currently around 20–44 million pairs in Europe.
The Eurasian blue tit and the related hybrids are considered native species in areas of the European continent with a mainly temperate or Mediterranean climate, and in parts of the Middle East. These areas include Ireland, the United Kingdom and most of the European Union and EFTA (except Malta, where they are considered vagrant, and Iceland, where they are absent), plus: Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Vatican City and Ukraine.
In Great Britain the Eurasian blue tit is typically found in deciduous woodland, parks, gardens and even in the center of towns.
Eurasian blue and great tits form mixed winter flocks, and the former are perhaps the better gymnasts in the slender twigs. A Eurasian blue tit will often ascend a trunk in short jerky hops, imitating a treecreeper. As a rule the bird roosts in ivy or evergreens, but in harsh winters will nest wherever there is a suitable small hole, be it in a tree or nesting box. They are very agile and can hang from almost anywhere.
This is a common and popular European garden bird, due to its perky acrobatic performances when feeding on nuts or suet. It swings beneath the holder, calling "tee, tee, tee" or a scolding "churr".
The Eurasian blue tit will nest in any suitable hole in a tree, wall, or stump, or an artificial nest box, often competing with house sparrows or great tits for the site. Few birds more readily accept the shelter of a nesting box; the same hole is returned to year after year, and when one pair dies another takes possession. It is estimated by the RSPB that there are 3,535,000 breeding pairs in the UK.
The Eurasian blue tit is a valuable destroyer of pests, though it is fond of young buds of various trees, especially when insect prey is scarce, and may pull them to bits in the hope of finding insects. It is a well-known predator of many Lepidoptera species including the Wood Tiger moth. No species, however, destroys more coccids and aphids, the worst foes of many plants. It takes leaf miner grubs and green tortrix moths (Tortricidae). Seeds are eaten, as with all this family, and blue tits in British urban areas have evolved the ability to digest milk and cream.
Voice
Eurasian blue tits are able to culturally transmit learning to other tit species. An example of this, dating from the 1920s, is the ability to open milk bottles with foil tops, to get at the cream underneath. Such behaviour has been suppressed recently by the gradual change of human dietary habits (low-fat or skimmed milk instead of full-fat), and the way of getting them (from a supermarket in plastic containers with hard plastic lids, instead of the milkman). In addition, the instinct to strip bark from trees in search of insects has developed into a tendency to peel building materials such as thatch, wallpaper, stucco and window putty.

The Rockwell is a necessary evil for Chicagoland railroading. Not quite as fancy as the BRC or IHB belt routes it serves roughly the same purpose, move traffic from a western carrier to an eastern one. Its placement on the Chicago street grid tough lines up with some rough and downtrodden areas of the city. I've heard tales of CNW agents being specifically assigned to drive along with every move thru the corridor.
While certain pockets have cleaned their act up, the railroad's historically rough past makes a railfan's presence a cause for suspicion. I shrugged off the comically long blasts of 1988's horn as he turned the corner at Rockwell and aimed myself for home.
Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana is preparing for the arrival of Ariane 6, ESA’s new heavy-lift rocket. This involves the final preparations of the new Ariane 6 launch complex and all the systems necessary for a launch.
With the mobile gantry fully retracted – as for a launch, two articulated cryogenic arms attached to the upper part of the Ariane 6 mast on the launch pad, mimicked the moment of liftoff.
These tests repeated earlier tests performed in Fos-sur-Mer, France.
The ‘cryo-arms’ are part of the fluidic connection system which connects to Ariane 6 in the final countdown to launch. They support the upper umbilicals which supply cryogenic top-up fuel, maintain the correct pressurisation of the tanks, cool the engines before ignition and generally keep the upper stage in an optimal condition right up to the point of liftoff. The same umbilicals allow the fuel to be drained safely if a launch is aborted.
Each arm is 13 m long and weighs 20 tonnes. One arm supplies liquid hydrogen at -250°C, the other supplies liquid oxygen at -180°C. When Ariane 6 lifts off, these arms will disconnect from the rocket and then pivot away quickly in just 2.6 seconds to avoid interfering with the rocket's ascent.
This manoeuvre requires great precision in order, almost simultaneously, to disconnect the arms, protect the supply hoses from gas ejections from the boosters and allow the launch vehicle to pass while avoiding any contact with it.
A 50-tonne counterweight inside the mast – as heavy as a humpback whale – speeds up the retraction of the arms. A smart damping system allows the arms to brake before the end of their swing backwards in order to preserve the mechanical links with the mast.
Keeping the fluidic supplies connected with the rocket until the moment of liftoff guarantees the best availability and simplification of the interface with the launch vehicle.
The disconnection of the cryo-arms from Ariane 6 is much faster than it is from Ariane 5 which is six seconds before liftoff. This means the sequence for Ariane 6 can be triggered at the latest possible moment in the countdown reducing the chance of unnecessary disconnects on an aborted launch.

It is necessary to accept “God’s will” when evil enters into our destiny and cannot possibly be avoided; indeed, the partially paradoxical nature of All-Possibility requires of man an attitude of conformity to this situation, namely the quality of serenity, of which the sky above us is the visible sign.
Serenity is to keep oneself so to speak above the clouds, in the calm and coolness of emptiness and far from all the dissonances of this lower world; it is never to allow the soul to immerse itself in impasses of disturbances, bitterness, or secret revolt, for it is necessary to beware of implicitly accusing Being when accusing some phenomenon.
We do not say that one should not accuse evil in all justice, we say that one should not accuse it with an attitude of despair, losing sight of the everywhere-present Sovereign Good and, in another respect, of the imperatives of universal equilibrium; the world is what it must be.
Serenity consists in resigning oneself to that destiny, at once unique and permanent, which is the present moment: to this itinerant “now” that no one can avoid and that in its substance pertains to the Eternal.
The man who is conscious of the nature of pure Being willingly remains in the moment that Heaven has assigned him; he is not feverishly straining towards the future nor lovingly or sadly bent over the past. The pure present is the moment of the Absolute: it is now — neither yesterday nor tomorrow — that we stand before God.
