this was a by product of a life casting session of my brothers face, this is a plaster cast mold which just acts as a structural aid in the process, i really liked it so took some photos.
This is a Kwibus mask design.

My daughter had her birthday party few couple week ago.. had a big splash.. girls love taking their pictures!
This isn't really a mask, it's just a model of a mask. So lately I've been experimenting a bit more with my flash. And the idea here is that I could use a really short exposure and low ISO speed along with a flash to isolate my subject. This picture was taken during the day, but because of the way I exposed the picture, everything that wasn't in the flash was black. And to isolate the subject a bit more, I made a cardboard cylinder for my flash, so that it would only flash on a small area.
As for the picture itself, the mask is hanging from a lamp with some floss. As luck would have it, I had just run out of floss 2-3 days ago, and I haven't had time to resupply yet. Luckily, I found some elsewhere in the house (yes I stole it from someone else).

A mask form modeled in maya and created through the FDM modeling process. I couldn't wait to post these. This image shows the sculpture still attached to its ABS Support material. This work was created in a 8"x6"x6" build envelope. I wanted to work within the same build envelope as my students.
