Rodin creëerde dit portret van een 'meditatieve vrouw', zoals Hanako het zelf noemde, na het observeren van de houding van zijn model in de pauzes tussen haar vermoeiende poseersessies. Deze versie is een terracotta afgietsel, herkenbaar aan de zichtbare naden. Dit technische detail is kenmerkend voor het proces waarmee men de vorm van een eerder geboetseerd kleimodel door middel van een afgietsel weet te behouden. Het kleimodel zelf is namelijk te brokkelig om te bewaren. Paradoxaal genoeg versterken de naden hier de kalme emotie die is verbeeld in het portret.

Mental illness is a people just like us and they aren't crazy or something. For me when I look at mental illness they are people like everyone else but they look like a person with only half the brain. My mask I draw a person and his brain which is one side is color with brown and the other is just white. The half a brain that color with brown is that this person sometime thinking about killing someone or try to kill himself/herself and this person suddenly just cry for no reason and it is hard for her to stop. But the other side is just normal brain like us human.

I decided to put all my masks on the craft table to see them all together. All but the tiger use the same base (see the blank white one in the left upper corner? that is what the base looks like) They were altered using Paperclay. It's really cool how they all turned out so far.
I've wanted to take pics of this mask for so long I had this vision of how I wanted the pictures to look and Im SO happy with how they came out!! :)
