My brother always gets the meatloaf. He judges places by their ability to produce meatloaf. It's not a bad theory, actually, but I was dying for an open face sandwich.
Vegetarian / vegan christmas dinner. Roasted parsnips, mashed turnip, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts, carrots, vegan yorkshire pudding and a Realeat roast smothered with a Redwood Foods gravy sauce. Delicious
December 25, 2008 - We had a lovely dinner for "western" Christmas (I still follow the Julian Calendar and have Christmas on January 7). Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, ... I made the gravy.
The best chicken tenders I have ever had. They are really amazing. Juicy white meat with no chewy pieces, covered in a light crispy coating that isn't thick or salty. I don't eat a lot of fried food, but for these, I make the occasional exception. ;)
I bought myself a late lunch at Chicken Express to celebrate the last class before graduation. :)
Parly from Wheatsville, partly homemade.
Bought: assorted roasted root vegetables; vegan mac and cheese with broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing
Homemade: roast potatoes, sour cream skins-on mashed potatoes, baked rosemary turkey breast
From a can: instant gravy, buttermik biscuit ;)
Blogged here.
Chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, and pinto beans, iced tea at the Dixie House.
Sunday Roast is like Thanksgiving, every Sunday, served at pubs England-wide. No turkey, but we had our choice of beef, lamb, chicken, pork or any combination of the above.
Not pictured: heaping portions of fluffy mashed sweet potatoes, cheesy cauliflower, and steamed collard greens, which came in a separate dish to be shared by the table. Very reasonably priced at £6.95 per plate, £2.75 per pint.
Gulasch mit Kartoffelpueree und Rotkohl 6,80 Euro.
I love this place. It's typical Berlin old school bar and restaurant with wooden, comfy furniture, fresh beer and, well, let's call it honest food.
They do specialize in Schnitzel, and they are all way under 10 Euros (except for the giant one); that and the perfect fried potatoes (with ham and onions) is reason alone to pay the Budeke a visit.
The Goulash here is made from pork, the sides of course not handmade, but still a cute dish when laziness wins over cooking : )

Big flavors melt together with marinated, tender, all natural chicken breasts. The best part? You top with cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, and lite ranch dressing. Simple. Just oven bake, then serve over super fluffy mashed potatoes.

Meatballs with mushroom gravy and home made mashed potatoes. The girl said they were the best ever. Mmm mmm good!
I hope your day was spent with friends and family where possible.
The sweet potato casserole made the table in time but was late for their photo appointment.

This was rather tasty from what I remember. A filet mignon with pearl onions, asparagus and pureed potatoes. I ate VV's asparagus tips (I prefer the tips while VV prefers the stem). The meat was topped off with fried leeks.

Experimenting with a Thanksgiving pizza! This one has gravy, Tofurky slices, garlic & chives mashed potatoes and carrots. Recipe coming soon! (The result is yum-tastic, but we're still tinkering with the method!)
