a bit undercooked for meatloaf but at least it wasn't dry. it was so flavorful.

A well orchestrated thanksgiving feast, each stove, and oven too, fully utilized. And off to the sides, a toaster oven, and microwave, too.

The mug was a gift, years and years ago, from my daughter, who likes to make sure I have a grip on things...My name is engraved across the front.

I was reheating some mashed potatoes in the microwave for supper tonight. The way to keep them from drying out in the microwave is to put a nice pat of butter in them. then, just stir it up - yum!

is what i made for dinner :). Apparently, parsnips are a good source of fiber. I don't think I've ever had parsnips before today - gave the potatoes a cute little sweetness.

my first real feast in my dining room was a thanksgiving dinner, held early with a few friends who had the day off.

A few years ago my friend Starr told me about how when she was young, her mom used to pile leftover mashed potatoes from the previous night's dinner into a frying pan in the morning. She would make a well in the middle of her heap and crack in a couple of eggs to make a hearty (and so tasty) breakfast. I've been doing it ever since. I love my eggs and mashed potatoes topped with spinach and aged cheddar cheese.
