Ground beef, onions and gravy inside the pie. I got the pie "peaked", meaning that they topped it with mashed potatoes and mushy peas and then smothered the whole thing in more gravy. Good thing I was going on a long walk along the Stanley Park Seawall afterwards!

Miniature Thanksgiving dinner. Everything hand molded from gumpaste or fondant. Real candles in gumpaste candle holders. Damask stenciling on fondant tablecloth.
This cake measured 12x6 inches. First time I'd ever set a table with a pair of tweezers!
In retrospect, I guess this goes a way towards explaining why my brother got into a fancy arts high school.
This is his favorite turtle (when he was about 12) and the mashed potato sculpture to match.
I thought it was neat photo, once I developed this old film and saw it again.
Our recipe for Chicken Smashed potatoes calls on our Chicken Seasoned Cooking Base, which we make by slow-roasting chicken with bell peppers, garlic, and onions with traditional Southern spices. Honey Teriyaki Glazed Salmon Served Sushi Style On a Bed of Seaweed and Rice Vinegar-Infused Rice with a Side of Wasabi Mashed Potatoes and Ginger Garlic Sautéed Spinach.
I was at The Girl™'s and I had brought over some salmon. I wanted to try something different in the presentation of this dish instead of making it just salmon with rice and whatnot.
Thus I decided to serve the salmon on top of the bed of rice and essentially make it look like a piece of sushi -- a giant piece of sushi, but that's where it looks fun. That's a regular sized salmon fillet yet it looks like a piece of sushi. Funny how that connotation and perspective works.

My wife worked hard to prepare a great Thanksgiving feast! We had turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, corn casserole, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, and homemade crescent rolls.
Tonight's dinner at Pies and Pints.
Chicken pot pie. Big pile of mashed potatoes and gravy.
Cajun fries with ranch dip.
Mac and Jack's Blackcat Porter.

A while back I splurged a little, and bought the husband a Rosle Potato Masher. I'm glad I did. His already fabulous mashed potatoes are even better...even if they look like they've been extruded through one of those Play-doh Fuzzy Pumper barber shop sets.

We went weekend tent camping at Indian Boundary Campground in Tellico Plain, Tennessee. Left our house around Noon and arrived at the campground around 4pm (made a few stops along the way; Arby's, Food City, Walmart and Cherohala Skyway Visitor's Center ). We did get some on and off rain late Friday evening and through out Saturday. It cleared up on Sunday before we left to head home. We got lunch at Iron Works Grille and stopped at the Charles Hall Museum & Gift shop before driving home.
