We plotted all the currently planned new nuclear power plants throughout Asia and Eastern Europe in this map illustrated by Josh McKible. I designed the little bar chart and art directed the map.
A long forgotten money saver, ideal for today's nouveau hoboes. Shelf Life would probably try this concoction but we draw the line at canned corn.

Duchess Salad Dressing:
Lettuce Bowl Salad - We really, really hope we never stumble into a time warp and are transported to 1952, because then Shelf Life would have to follow such recipe suggestions as ‘stir in sufficient red food colouring to make bright red.’ We’d also have to figure out what the heck the mayo is doing masquerading as ‘salad dressing’.

....and that someone is Judy Latham. Continuing on with the reversible foods idea – who knew this genre is called ‘Dilly’? – here we find inside-out hot dogs. Call us hard to please, but who wants to hold a cold pickle instead of a warm hot dog bun?
Redesigned Lithonia Lighting's 800-page annual product catalog. The new design template was designed to hook into their PIMS (Product Information Management System) and dynamically extract image and copy data. Heinz Pickles - Shelf Life is a wholehearted believer in lo-fi party treats, like the homemade mini-noshes above. Who needs a trendy titbit or an expensive canape when you could have a dill ‘n cheese boat? Also, we’re suckers for the lost art of toothpick arrangement.
7 Up: Drink Seven Up With A ‘Blue Burger’ - This is a seriously drab looking burger, blobs of ‘catchup’ and all. But wait – here comes the lady sommelier, holding out a bottle – perhaps monsieur and madame are interested in a distinguished bottle of pop?
This opener to a profile in the arts section features an American Gothic homage inspired by the couple. Added bonus: I wrote this story too!

Another great illustration from Jude Buffum. There's a library in France whose duty it is to archive the entire Internet. We took an Indiana Jones approach ("THIS BELONGS IN A MUSEUM") to the lead illustration and secondary information graphic. Pretty spare design. I didn't want to detract from the art, at the risk of being a little straight-laced.
Business to business wholesale catalog design for Royal Designs, Inc., a manufacture of high-end lamp shades and home decor products.
Robin Hood Oats French Toast? - Hey kids! What do you say we add something to our usual French toast, like – oats! …No?
Kraft Tomato Ketchup - Sigh. You gotta love these people. Those postwar Brits – so downtrodden, so plucky, so willing to see a nifty ‘idea’ in a single blob of ketchup on a plate of dull food.
Is it us, or is it really hot in here? This ad depicts either a gigantic, menacing cheese casserole, or … a glimpse of Hell. Or both! It’s an inferno of cheese! Boil, giant cauldron, boil!! Mwah hah hah hah!!!
Editorial design for Golf Georgia magazine, the official publication for the Georgia State Golf Foundation.
This was my anti cover. Model upside-down, eyes closed, headline readability ignored. Understanding the rules is also understanding when they should be broken!
Swift’s Premium:
Luscious Lunches In No Time -
Why is that woman’s hand so strangely shaped, so sinister looking? Because she’s been feasting on terrifying recipes that recommend “top with sliced canned tongue”, that’s why.

Uncle Ben’s Spanish Rice Mix: How To Be Famous For Your Spanish Rice! - The answer is: create a fully loaded rice dish that can blast enemies by shooting wieners at them.
