This whole cloth picnic quilt was made for a special picnic with my hubby for our 29th wedding anniversary.
I used a store bought jean jacket, lopped off the arms, faced the arm holes w/bias binding and used one of the arms to make a little purse. The flowers are from Smartneedle.com. I used a lime green rayon from Madera for the decorative stitches from my machine. I stitched around the flower design with metallic Sulky Hollosheer. The collar "fabric" was made by placing a bunch of threads and yarns on a pieces of heavy Solvy, then I placed a light weight Sovly on the top and sewed it all down , FME with Hollowsheer. Then I washed out the solving, cut it up & bling bling!
